Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

*to the tune of tiny dancer

Hold me closer Jimmy Jeffers

Piano intro

Jimmy baby
Fylde ladies
Harpoons in the hand
Wards on board
He’s a fraud
You married a football man
Forest green
You must of seen ‘em
Eating vegan food
And now it’s Fylde
It’s always wild
Jimmy Jeffers in my hand

Fylde freaks
Out in the streets
Handing tickets out from Dunc
Looking back
He just laughed
Shouldn’t have burglarized his gaff
He’s the man
Should have a stand
In the ground that is Mill Farm
We belong
And sing the song
The tunes we know
We like to bum

But now it’s turned so grim
Now that the ward is in
If only he would leave
Now we say f’off wardy

Hold me closer Jimmy Jeffers
Count the skid marks on the chimney
Lay me down on packs of frazzles
I had a swan pasty today

Hold me closer, Jimmy Jeffers
Count the vanarama trophies
Lay me down on Maccas ma
I’ve had a busy day today

Jimmy Baby
Fylde ladies
Harpoons in the hand
Wards on board
He’s a fraud
You married a football man
Forest Green
You must of seen ‘em
Eating vegan food
Now it’s Fylde
We’re just wild
Jimmy Jeffers in my hand

Oh, how it feels so real
Lying here here with Maccas ma
And she just grunts , so quietly
And I say softly, slowly

Hold me closer Jimmy Jeffers
Count the skid marks on the chimney
Lay me down on packs of frazzles
I had a swan pasty today

Hold me closer Jimmy Jeffers
Count the skid marks on the chimney
Lay me down on packs of frazzles
I had a swan pasty today
I'm very emotionally moved. And I'm normally very stoic, I didn't even cry at Prince Philip's funeral.

That’s just astoundingly beautiful. Sniff it, Bernie Taupin

FERGUSON'S FUTURE

With the end to another campaign and a disappointing end for Duncsn Ferguson and AFC Fylde, where do they both go from here? Fylde lost key players in Mick Wisdom and Neil Foster this season and it is likely to be a summer of headaches for Ferguson as he tries to hold on to Alan O'Neill who has interest from The Championship. Tom Halder and Chima Okoroji are both considering retirement and Morgan Feeney, Brett McGavin, Euan Henderson and Tyrone O'Neill are all over thirty. A squad rebuild will be required in the coming years and can Ferguson invest in youth once again to take this club further? Duncan Ferguson could also be at a crossroads in his career, he is 59 years old and will have ambitions of managing at football's top table. Could this summer be the time when he hands the reigns of Fylde to his successor and take a new job somewhere else?

Any big jobs available at the moment TPBD? Do you think he might look for something abroad?

His stats must have improved from the pic on page 1 of the thread. Would have fancied us if we could’ve limped into the playoffs tbh.

Can’t see him sticking around while that shyster Ward(spit) is holding the purse strings.

Any end of season awards/stats so we can all update our spreadsheets.

Personally I’m heavily invested in Fylde, mainly because of the neck tattoo I got a couple of seasons ago but if Ward(spit)) replaces Dunc with some Poundland version I fear we will end up slipping down the tables faster than one of @JimmyJeffers dirty protests down a chimney.

There is interest in Ferguson from a more high profile club, I can't disclose who at the moment but they are a team with aspirations of European football.

Forest Green? I saw Big Dunc munching on a cabbage in the dugout in the last game.

Broke my heart. At least he dunked it in a washing up bowl full of OXO when he was half way through. Still sad scenes.

Ward OUT!

A cabbage, you sure that’s wasn’t just him screaming at chima after his 2 minute cameo against Luton last week?
Now you mention it, it sounded like a strong Glaswegian accent shouting for Korean super food Kimchi - the fermented cabbage dish - could have been a huge misunderstanding since they got that Korean lad in the food van.

Cracking cup of bubble tea mind you.

Ward out!

WARD: FUNDS WILL BE AVAILABLE

Fylde chairman Kevin Ward has been in for a lot of criticism of his handling of the club since his takeover and this summer has vowed to make funds available for new player signings and has promised to back Duncan Ferguson in this forthcoming transfer window. "There is money available to bring new players in, I will leave this up to the manager. The finances at the club have improved since I came here and it's important to invest that back into the team. I have decided to upgrade the youth facilities at the club. Our focus should be on harnessing new talent and bringing in players from the academy and the local area."
