Football clubs are massive culturally but if all you’re interested in is making money there are much better ways to invest and get returns.

Erm, the NBA doesn't have relegation. And if you look at it from the American-dominated media standpoint, the Toronto Raptors were a complete outsider when they won it a couple of years ago.

It's an attempt to avoid punishment by the clubs.

No. Just no. The buck doesn't just stop with these bells; they approved every step of the way.

I feel sorry for the average fan, but massive points deductions, fines, European bans, the lot.

Relegation and expulsion for the active season also. Feel bad for the fans but these clubs didn't give a crap about "legacy fans" so I don't imagine this would change anything
