I've always been a believer if you just want cheap affordable football with good atmosphere follow none league which is a boss day out.

As a young Evertonian I want to see what the arl arses have winning titles, dominating europe - those dreams will never be a reality if we turn into Hoffenheim.

Hoffenheim who have qualified for Europe 3 of the last 4 years and have come 3rd and 4th in recent times?

Anyway have a word with yourself, we are not Hoffenheim (a team who spent loads of money to come up the leagues by the way), we are Everton. We are not a village club on steroids!

yeah, but it’s how it’s going to be spun.

Honestly the owners are gonna get away with it because fans who have forced their hands, are gonna be celebrating and the media attention will turn to that.

FSG, Glazers and Kroenke need to be forced out, and forced out as soon as possible.
They'll go as soon
Lol I'm 40 mins behind an 30 pages behind in the thread.
Basically the Germans have rogered and butt [Poor language removed] the Americans senseless

I don't know where these scummy clubs can go from here. They had to backtrack over project restart and claimed they listened to fans but then went even further. What are they going to say? "We got it wrong again... Sowwy!" That won't wash this time. Just hope the media don't start giving them any credit.

Sadly will all be brushed under the carpet mate. A few little statements released a warning from the PL and as you were.....

I'm not completely against the idea of trying to have competition of this nature in American sports but it would take a loooooong time to do. Historically speaking the system was set by baseball which had a fossilized hierarchy of leagues basically by the 1920s. The combination of minor leagues in baseball and college leagues in football and basketball has made it so that no one is really arsed that relegation and promotion don't exist. Or at least to this point they've never really been.

Part of that is because the leagues are actually pretty fair. Yes the Lakers have a greater pull than the Warriors but who has won more in the last decade? That can't really happen in soccer because mechanisms like salary caps and drafts aren't a thing so promotions and relegations are what fills that void. It's just different and I'd say most everyone here is fine with how it goes. I mean I would love if my city had an NBA team again and it would be great if they had a second tier team that instead of being a feeder was actually out for itself and trying to challenge for a spot but that isn't what we've got so I just enjoy it how I do now.

I wasn't devaluing the system of American sports; it works for you guys.

I was saying it is never a good thing for football.

Honestly think the Glazers and FSG will run.

Football clubs are massive culturally but if all you’re interested in is making money there are much better ways to invest and get returns.

I think FSG will, but Glazers are going nowhere. They're still making a killing by siphoning money out of that club. They live in America and have zero feelings towards the club. Maybe if they get a buyer but I don't think this affects them at all sadly.
