The CL needs a shake-up tho, its become stale.

Whether that's UEFAs plan or not, things need to change.

The super league is obviously the dominating story, but my god, the new champions league format is AWFUL. And it’s been approved without any scrutiny whatsoever because of the timing of the Super League story.

Clearly UEFA’s formats and dealings are not as bad as the new muck that was being proposed but they are also a shambles tbh.

Outside of Bayern, who are dominant because they have been brilliantly run by Uli Hoeneß for 20 years and then his buddy Killer Kalle, The Bundesliga is fantastically competitive. It's a fan-first model. Small clubs are generally in the ascendancy in Germany. The giants, HSV, Schalke, Kaiserslautern, and Stuttgart have all had recent relegations or will have one this season. Cologne, Gladbach, Frankfurt, and Hertha have all been up and down. All have been poorly managed. Freiburg, Union Berlin and other smaller clubs have huge scope to thrive. It has the biggest attendances in world football for a reason.

You can judge the competitiveness of a league by how many different teams win the league mate.

Bundesliga is a glorified SPL - they have a lot right in terms of cheap tickets / good matchday experience but if we end up with that system you can kiss goodbye to ever dreaming of seeing us one day win the league even more than now when at least Usmanov could bankroll us if FFP goes.
