I realise I will be in the minority.

They still technically broke Premier League rules by trying to play in an unsanctioned league, at least if they signed something as Perez claimed. Perhaps if they never signed anything, then they’d have a claim that they didn’t actually do anything. Guess we won’t know that for now.

This is more like you want to leave your wife for another woman and make all the noises to do so but then think, nah, actually I’ll just stay with you for the kids.
