Champions League revamp

If they had a vote to the 14 now, I reckon all 14 would vote against expelling them.

If they had that now, yes. If the next few weeks reveal that the six are not going to compromise on anything, then that will probably change to all 14 taking some action to prevent PL teams from taking part in the SL.

I think the Scab 6 will stay, but this should be the offer made by the other 14:

15 point deduction if you don't denounce this by May 1st
Another 15 point deduction if you don't denounce by end of season

30 point deduction at the start of every season for any team playing in a non-authorized competition. So they can all stay and play in the Super League too. But the Arsenals and Spurs will be in League 1 by year 3 or 4.

All other English teams will reject invitation to Super League, continue to send Top 4-7 to European places. Anyone playing in the SL is ineligible for UEFA competitions.

If the ESL goes ahead (I don't think it will btw), then they have to expel all 6 teams. Allowing ESL teams to stay in a devalued and largely meaningless PL is worse than taking the financial hit to put them out. The financial hit is enormous either way if this league starts so you have to keep your dignity and accept the hurt.

Until that point though, there will be posturing but not much in the way of punishments from the PL. It will be points deductions at worst, and expelling them is the very last resort way down the line.

absolutely - the SL teams will deliberately devalue the PL if they remain

The Chinese League was paying fortunes to try and get all the best players, but it didn't stop it from being an absolute load of crap that nobody was interested in.

The bigger risk comes from allowing them to have feet in both camps. It would completely ruin domestic football and the Premier League, which is exactly what the Super League wants.

If they go ahead, they MUST be kicked out. The real self-harm would be allowing them to stay!

It's a scary short term proposition though and that's what will make it hard

PL should keep the Scab 6 but they can't win any cup apart of their Superleague (good luck beating the team of President Perez lol) until they don't drop out.
No cups, no money.

I don’t think they have the balls to do it in all honesty. I thought yesterday that they might, but I now see all of these responses are just empty threats. These six clubs have us all exactly where they want us. We missed the boat when the premier league formed, we are going to miss this boat too. I don’t want to be part of this though as I despise what football has become. I just wish all these young evertonians got to see the club they love lifting the league title like I did as a kid.
