Champions League revamp

If they had a vote to the 14 now, I reckon all 14 would vote against expelling them.

Which is why English football is doomed one way or another. We had the chance with this to press the reset button, rid the league of the gulf state owners and commercial behemoths but we are too scared to take our own collective snouts out the trough.

The 6 clubs will be allowed to do what they want that much is certain. The best we can hope for is a fine and transfer embargo which does nothing after 1 year.

Do we really think they're going to go ahead with this? They've done untold damage to their brands and the only way out of this is to slither back into a revamped Champions League that weights the dice in their favour. I can't see how they can possibly go ahead with this league.
Depends on how much financial trouble they are really in and what the small print on the contracts is.

A bit more lucrative CL might not be enough to keep some of the non-UK teams afloat after their awful management.

As if Man City fans have the cheek to try and position themselves as anti establishment ffs, Pep going on about unfair competition.

This is the same club that literally had a team of lawyers threatening all and sundry for suggesting something might be off about their financials. Same side who utterly abused financial fair play and then had the same team of lawyers over turn a ban they fully deserved. Same side with a billion pound squad yet we are all meant to sit here and believe they are the mad rebels and Pep's built them from the ground up.

Koff City you state owned money laundering rats. Same goes for PSG, praised because they can't join the super league due to their owners utterly swindling a World Cup to Qatar with every stadiums foundations littered with the dead bodies of immigrants.

These pricks have ruined the game just like UEFA and we've all stood by and watched it happen.

No wonder Utd and Juventus share price is on the upward trend, since this broke.

United's share price is down 3% today.

Like I said earlier. Not remotely surprised the Mericans went with it; its what they know. They basically do not care.

Less so with Chelsea and City though. Dont get that one.
Probably just didn't want to be left out at the end of the day. Spanish and Italian clubs want the money to get out of debt

We know this. It doesn't matter. If they go ahead the self harm would be greater by allowing it.

If they expel them, the gap will be even bigger because the TV money would go from The Premier League, to the Super League.

That's why the six won't be expelled, there's zero appetite for it from the 14 clubs.

I understand his point but having a go at the fans, who are trying to show their voice in the only ways they can is a poor angle here.

That frustration should be going to the owners

He’s very protective of his players, isn’t he? Doesn’t give a flying one about others teams’ players being attacked by his team’s scummy fans though.
I can’t believe that not one commentator has picked up on Klopp’s comment about his players being shouted at, as the coach arrived last night, after the bad (for them) press just last week about Madrid’s bus being bricked.

Well yeah. The likes of Barcelona are in a right mess financially speaking. I'm a bit confused as to how Barca are signed up to it, as I thought they were owned by their fans in the same way German clubs are, and the fans seem universally opposed to it.

We are just a bunch of lap dogs. I don’t see the appeal of a league you can never get relegated from and basically play the same teams over and over again.
