Champions League revamp

Trying to force the owners out? Or force the league to take action on the owners but the clubs escape punushment?

No problem with this tbh

Heavy sanctions until the owners sell up?

How else can you force somebody to sell a club other than major protesting from fans, which generally doesn’t work.

This has potential tbh. It actually gets to the crux of the matter too - the owners of these clubs are the main culprits.

I doubt it's practical though. It will be very hard, if not impossible, to force people to sell their shares.

Yep wonder if there is something in PL rules. Be great to see Glazers/FSG and Kronke kicked out. Maybe force these clubs to start going down the German model of 51% fan owned.

I think these clubs are much further ahead of things than the rest of everyone thinks.

You are probably talking billion pound contracts signed with media groups, US banks etc.

Which is the thing here - this has been going on for ages, certainly when Big Picture was proposed. Nothing they are going to say in any negotiations now (if there even are any) can be trusted.

Dead easy. You let them know that they have absolutely no say, whatsoever, in howthe game is run, despite all the money they are putting in.

If the ESL doesn’t feasibly work then their investment case is gone. Take away CL and their investment starts falling in value quickly. Ban them from UEFA competitions until they sell.

If they don’t, the playing field all of a sudden looks a little fairer.

I'm not behind the government being involved in this even if its on our side. A pure PR opportunity- they have no problem with these practices in any other type of business they just "let the market decide"- so many other businesses and industries have been taken over by those at the top and destroyed livelihoods and they've either done nothing or actively encouraged and profited from it.

But because us neanderthal peasants up north love football and hate them, they see this as a way of getting us on side. They can then probably make some personal profit off whatever they do. We can't let it work
