I doubt it. That means work. I very much imagine that they prefer stability and predictability. They want every negotiation to go as smoothly as possible, so that they can collect their cut with a minimum of fuss. That's not realistic for the blockbuster deals, but there are agents that specialize in more conflictual negotiations.

Those guys are probably very, very happy because it means they'll get to pick and choose from the best prospective clients.

Premier League statement on Super League (20 April 2021)

Plans for Super League rejected unanimously and vigorously by clubs after meeting with League and FA

The Premier League, alongside The FA, met with clubs today to discuss the immediate implications of the Super League proposal.


The 14 clubs at the meeting unanimously and vigorously rejected the plans for the competition.


The Premier League is considering all actions available to prevent it from progressing, as well as holding those Shareholders involved to account under its rules.


The League will continue to work with key stakeholders including fan groups, Government, UEFA, The FA, EFL, PFA and LMA to protect the best interests of the game and call on those clubs involved in the proposed competition to cease their involvement immediately.


The Premier League would like to thank fans and all stakeholders for the support they have shown this week on this significant issue.


The reaction proves just how much our open pyramid and football community means to people.

My whole point mate is football changes anyway so whilst we sit demonising the ESL - UEFA sneakily get off Scott free putting 4 wild card entries into the CL from 2024 keeping the likes of Liverpool, Utd, Arsenal, Bayern, Real etc safe should they not qualify one year.

They get into the CL without earning it that year? Hypocrisy no? Yet no one is talking about.

Sneaky play by UEFA. They are absolutely rotten to the core, using diversion tactics to push through changes absolutely nobody has asked for. A 10 game Champions League League sounds utter turd as does the safety net they have put in place incase any of the money making clubs fail to qualify.

Can't believe we are all about to get swindled in to thinking we've all got it good and everything is fine in football. People are crying out for the status quo, nobody's arsed about sports washing, money laundering, paywalls, Sky, BT, VAR just get rid of the super league!!

Hope somebody has the nous to come out and say how bad both the super league and modern day football are. Call a spade a spade, I want Bill ranting about FFP failing whilst hanging out the back of Rita's dirtbox.

Same yet the football community is distraught they are going - they have destroyed football in this country and we are one of the biggest victims in recent seasons of FFP by a corrupt UEFA desperate to keep the dirty dozen happy / relevant.

How anyone wants this lot to stick around to continue destroy competition in this country astounds me.

the important bits are that the agreement (whatever it is) was unanimous, and the list of who they are working with (the inclusion of the EFL being important given what Parish said last night)

Reading in the metro the other 14 clubs have told the dirty 6 to quit the premier league.

They don’t want to expel unless it’s a last resort so I guess they are giving them clubs wiggle room to reconsider

Instead of trying to set up a meeting with other Premier League captains so he can look important, why doesn't "Hendo" instead arrange a meeting with his chairman and tell him he won't kick another ball for Liverpool until this stupid idea is dropped?

If Perez is anything to go by then some of Hess clubs need the money now and we could be looking at August for this thing. People think it’s brinkmanship but it’s gone way too far. This will get resolved one way or another before the end of this season, it has to.
