Blah Blah BlahIm not here to push "an agenda" - Im trying to push some financial realism along with all of the hyperbole
Yes, Super league is a joke, Yes it is engineered by the vile greed of certain owners, but commercial reality means that the 14 will take a pragmatic approach to this. As much as we would all love to see them shown the door this afternoon, it's not going to happen. There is simply too much at stake in terms of legal battles, TV rights, the needs of the 14 etc. I hung my hat on the same point with Restart & was proven correct commercial realities will override the ethical decision every time
you have no idea how happy I would be eat humble pie here if they are thrown out, but any decison will be made with pragamatic business sense rather than what should be done.
I would argue that only Moshiri and the guys at LCFC are even capable of seeing a long game here - there rest cant look past the impact in the here and now
He only needs that because he hasn't got a spine. If he had actual integrity, he'd just do it.
Same criticism for Rashford too. A tweet is one thing; an action that means something is another.
Any actions they take will have to go through lawyers who will need to ensure that things are water tight when it comes disciplinary.
You may be right, but you certainly can't take that from that statement.Premier league statement is exactly what you’d expect.
They will all be playing in the premier league next season and probably without docked points
When I said "solidly sourced" what I actually meant was "ffs don't quote the 'kin S*n even indirectly"I know but you did ask for a source
pity it’s them
If that's the case, it has massively backfired. Will anyone ever take those 12 clubs seriously again? It would show they are full of empty threats and the rest of the clubs and uefa/FIFA would go to town on them. They say that the outcome of a coup is determined in the first five minutes. Well, metaphorically speaking, as soon as Florentino Perez went babbling preposterously on some Spanish outlet last night, the jig was up. If this was going to succeed, there would have been a wall of unity from the plotters. Instead, we had no PSG, no Bayern, Napoli and Roma treated like the hired help, and managers and players paraded in front of the media to defend the indefensible.
This was never designed to succeed. It was meant to shock and awe and force further concessions from UEFA, which it inevitably will. UEFA can pose as being the great defenders of the game, but they will be negotiating from a position of weakness. The can will be kicked down the road. The "football family" will come together.
Think they are powerless and just as damaging to all in kicking them out, maybe a point deduction. Come down to government we are now a sovereign nation... Players and managers can voice opinion and fans can walk away.Pretty weak statement IMO
