Premier league statement is a joke
Pretty weak statement IMO
Instead of trying to set up a meeting with other Premier League captains so he can look important, why doesn't "Hendo" instead arrange a meeting with his chairman and tell him he won't kick another ball for Liverpool until this stupid idea is dropped?

Premier League statement on Super League (20 April 2021)
Plans for Super League rejected unanimously and vigorously by clubs after meeting with League and FAwww.premierleague.com
The Premier League, alongside The FA, met with clubs today to discuss the immediate implications of the Super League proposal.
The 14 clubs at the meeting unanimously and vigorously rejected the plans for the competition.
The Premier League is considering all actions available to prevent it from progressing, as well as holding those Shareholders involved to account under its rules.
The League will continue to work with key stakeholders including fan groups, Government, UEFA, The FA, EFL, PFA and LMA to protect the best interests of the game and call on those clubs involved in the proposed competition to cease their involvement immediately.
The Premier League would like to thank fans and all stakeholders for the support they have shown this week on this significant issue.
The reaction proves just how much our open pyramid and football community means to people.
It's about what you could get out of this collective. Very few of them want to burn the bridges the way we do.
Because he needs to make sure he has backing across the affected clubs before making a move. He can't afford to be out on an island. He needs solidarity across the board. The only way to find out if he has it, or try to generate it if he hasn't, is to ask.
I would love to see big Dunc curb stomping Joel glazer to death.Pretty weak statement IMO

Reading in the metro the other 14 clubs have told the dirty 6 to quit the premier league.
They don’t want to expel unless it’s a last resort so I guess they are giving them clubs wiggle room to reconsider
Be the best thing everPersonally I can’t wait to see the back of them....
I wouldn't suggest it would be, but equally the allure for the 6 clubs won't be as great without "the rest" either. The Premier League is the most lucrative league because of that competition. Let's be honest here. Chelsea and City are teams with zero history who have bought their way to the top table. Spurs and Arsenal haven't won the league in an absolute age and will be among the cannon fodder of any Super League group.Because those 6 clubs play significantly more in the Premier League.
Anyone who thinks for one moment the TV deal would be anywhere near what it is without the audience's those 6 clubs bring are very, very wrong.
Young lad putting his peers to shame again
