The employees of the club have nothing to do with the leagues. They work for the club, regardless of the competition they are in.

No different to a private company losing a huge government contract and going bust resulting in job losses.

I think UEFA will have legally binding contractual obligations that clubs will have signed up to as well tbh.

Even if PL did let them stay how would it work if they finished 1st - 8th? They obviously cant compete in CL so do they just get taken out of the equation and the top 4 (minus them) get CL?

Thats not going to work. The PL are cornered now. If they get kicked out of the league too then they are up s**t street and it literally will be a 1 league season with 1 trophy and no promotion/ relegation - it will become boring fast.

Teams like Arsenal, Liverpool etc wont care if they finish last every season because its guaranteed £££
