Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

That is a bold statement mate. Who would you have instead?

I can’t see Ward (spit) splashing the cash on any big names, he’ll probably try to promote Beattie cos he turned up to the interview in his England tracksuit. I rather have Henry the Hoover in charge tbh.

Looks like Dunc might walk anyway after the whole Micky Wis debacle. Just what we need going into the playoffs.

Oh hello. Didn’t know Henry the Hoover was available tbh. Wouldn’t mind seeing him on the sidelines, directing the troops

Imagine the scenes JJ.

After months of #wardout trending on Twitter the players and fans in open revolt and the threat of photos of him in a compromising position with @maccavennie s ma, Ward has finally agreed to sell the club back to Hawthorne.

Hawthorne then announces Henry minutes before our massive Fa Cup 1st round proper clash against bitter arch rivals Forest Green Moaners.

Mill Farm erupts as Colin the Coaster introduces Henry and new assistant “dirty” Danny Rowe .

Hawthorne is later removed forcefully by a group of angry, harpoon welding Coasters after reading his Wikipedia page and realising he’s a general wrong’un.

“The chairman David Haythornthwaite, publicly supports UKIP and fracking, is a prominent Brexiteer and endorses right-wing populistpolitician Nigel Farage.

Big Dunc is also hired as director of football and head of cone development.

AFC Fylde vs Barnet

=Barnet result.webp

Fylde had to adjust to life with Mick Wisdom and Daniel Embid started the match alongside Jordan Wilson. Ferguson was assuring fans that the club will carry on but the rumours are circulating that Ferguson is not happy about losing control of the team and could be considering his own future. Fylde continued as normal and after 30 seconds were 1-0 up when Alan O'Neill converted from John Jones' free kick! Fylde had the chance to make it two when Marshall played a nice ball out wide to Morton and he crossed for Tyrone O'Neill who made his run to the near post but he headed over the bar. The Fylde defence worked hard in the first half to keep Barnet out, with seconds remaining in the half, Declan Marshall showed his true quality when he went on a maizy run through the centre and played in Henderson who cheekily chipped the keeper to make it 2-0! The second half was quiet and Fylde picked up another win as they continued to close the gap on the teams above them!

Fylde had closed the gap to two points on league leaders Preston and could not afford to stop now. Bytheway was back in the team as well as Josh Ferguson. Daniel Embid continued in midfield after a good display against Barnet four days earlier. Daniel Embid won the ball back and played it to Wilson, he got it into the box for Bytheway and he struck the post in the first real chance for Fylde. Bythway intercepted the ball in the Fylde half and got it forward to O'Neill who drifted wide, he had nowhere to go but pulled off an incredible pass over to the left for Henderson who took it down well cut into the box and shot on his right foot to make it 1-0! Fylde were performing well and were always first to the ball, the defence was in sync with each other and working as a unit to keep the score at 1-0. Josh Ferguson played a great ball into the box for Bytheway to get onto but he shot wide on 60 minutes. Bytheway played the ball into the box, Wilson got to it and played it across goal, Tyrone O'Neill poked it against the post, should have been the second. Brett McGavin came on for Jordan Wilson and his first impact on the match came when he crossed to the far post and Henderson headed against the bar. It just wasn't going in the net for Fylde. Despite the scoreline it was a good display from Fylde as they moved into the promotion places.

F.A. Cup Third Round Replay

=bristol city result.webp

It was a trip to Bristol for the cup replay against Bristol City after their 0-0 draw at Mill Farm ten days earlier. Ferguson kept the same team as the one that beat Bradford a few days ago. Wilson played a nice ball into the box for Henderson to chase and he beat the full back and held him off to get his shot away but it was saved by the keeper, Henderson went for the rebound and it was deflected behind. Jordan Wilson was caught late and had to go off, he was replaced by Brett McGavin on 32 minutes. Fylde will be hoping the injury is not too serious as they have already lost Mick Wisdom this season. Three minutes into the second half, Jones took the corner from left and Henderson tried to get his head to it, he got a touch and guided it towards the back post, Tyrone O'Neill reacted first and knocked it in! 1-0! Fylde needed the second to put the game beyond doubt, Daniel Embid done well to block the shot on 60 minutes. John Jones tried his luck from the free-kick 5 minutes later and the keeper done well to get across to tip it wide. Adrian Pirone came on for Euan Henderson, McGavin played it to Pirone on 72 minutes and he crashed the ball against the crossbar from 25 yards out. Okoroji came on for Jones to help support the defence and help see Fylde through stoppage time. Seconds left, Hughes took the ball on the right for Bristol and played a dangerous ball into the box, Morgan Feeney got there first and hoofed it away. The away fans erupt! Fylde have beaten Bristol City and progress to the Fourth Round!

DF: The football on display has been great to watch. We are winning games and it's important to keep this going. There is still a lot of football to be played. Jordan Wilson has a groin injury and will be out for the next month. We will need players to keep their discipline and hopefully we can avoid further injuries.

We should be walking this league and we’re grinding out results against Barnet and Bradford.

Super Hendo’s playing for his life as he doesn’t want to be the next Micky Wis, bundled into the back of a transit destined for Crewe or some other godforsaken place.

Wouldn’t blame Dunc if, after he wins the league (again), packs up his pigeons, pickled herrings and his Napoleon portrait and rides off into the sunset.

Finally, a few decent results.

We should be well clear of this league with the Billy Big Boots in our teams but they're a big bunch of bottlers and have shown time and time again that when the going gets tough, they get off to the pasty van.

We should be up the top of the championship right now and look at us. We bottled it last year under Ward, and he's asset stripped and dragged our good name through the mud. This isn't a promotion, this is our natural position just overpowering Ward's lack of ambition.

Ward OUT!
