Couldn't disagree more. Think that club have handled this exactly how they should have - cautiously.
If things need handling as cautiously as this then his physical problem is surely beyond full repair. His returning is about as likely as the lockdown ever ending.

If your career was only 10-15 years maximum you wouldn't want to miss two years mate, mentally that has to really tough, money or not. Fancy thinking that money should be the measuring stick on how quickly you come back from career threatening injuries. Top bloke you pal.
he'll also be missing out on a big chunk of income that a pro football player may reasonably expect to draw on, for example, 5k appearance, 5k win bonus, 3k clean sheet, 5k scoring etc. Whilst they are numbers that we cant comprehend, he is a pro footballer and when he signed a contract, he would have had a reasonable expectation of an additional chunk of money on top of his base salary. He'll still get his base salary but he'll be itching to get back as much as we are. I don't understand Everton fans not wanting to give an Everton player their support, especially when they are probably at a low point. I thought we were better than that.

I'm not having a go at the lad because I have not seen any evidence of anything but bad luck for him. However there is an enormous difference between being laid off for two years on a normal working wage, and being laid off for two years on enough money to live out the rest of your life comfortably without ever working again.

Arch, problem is we have seen so little of him to appreciate what he is capable of.

Do those sorts of clauses still exist in the top leagues?
Thought they were more of a lower league thing nowadays

And that's NOT the club's fault..why? Since late October it's been "he'll be back in training in 2 weeks". That's not on Gblammo, that's the club telling Carlo to say that. The club have done nothing to ingratiate the player who is on a massive massive injury break to the supporters.
