Whilst id usually agree, if we won tomorrow, with Brighton, Burnley and Palace up next plus games against Arsenal, Wolves, Villa x2 and Sheff Utd to come I'd be bitterly disappointed if we didn't finish top 4. This with a game in hand and pretty much fully fit squad.

Bitterly disappointed? We finished 12th last season.

3 points would be huge, but I don't think it would put us in the driving seat.

We would still have 11 tough games to come with the squad dropping like flies.

The good news is we still have a solid back line available. Allan sitting and if needs be just have to play Gomes & Sigurdsson in midfield 3 at least hopefully until Davies is back. James hopefully will be back as well. With Richy & DCL in the side we always have a chance. Let’s get through this game hopefully get more back for the next and then recover for the international break.

Gomes & Sigurdsson in midfield 3
I think I just read the most horrifying sentence written..

We just can’t.. midfield would be so overrun..Allan barely back... we have seen this movie before.. rather bring in Onyango honestly..
I have read how bad Davies is.. praying he is back.

I agree but we don’t have a choice really. Carlo ain’t gonna throw the young kid in for this fixture. Just one of them unfortunately it’s needs must. Our best option tomorrow is to sit back and just be direct.

ya fair enough.. this is often where kids have made names for themselves.. getting their chance through injury... I’m not sure Onyango is ready anyway...

Pickford
Iwobi - Keane - Godfrey - Digne
Allan
Gomes - Iceberg
Hamez
DCL - Rico
Reckon thats ya team lads.

had a thought.. Godfrey out right, Digne back to the middle which he has done a few times and Nkounkou on the left. At least we have defenders in all positions..

if Coleman fit for RB I would put Godfrey with Allan in the center with Siggy.
The play for me is Nkounkou in

I reckon so too - if james is out then I could see nkounkou coming in as a left wing back - with Digne moving into a back three and Iwobi doing the same as a rwb.

King and Bernard as the only senior men on the bench...

Would be asking a lot for that side to get a result against this Chelsea side but funnier things have happened. Always have a chance with Richarlison and DCL in the side.

Nkounkou just here to make up the numbers I think. Lad hasn’t had a sniff since West Ham cup game I think..... think Digne could do a job for us there though at CB.

I'm not usually one to mess around with line up predictions before games, but this one's got the potential to be really weird.

If they're ALL out, maybe we'll go 352? And have absolutely no choice but to give N'kounkou a run.

Pickford

Godfrey Keane Digne
Iwobi Sigurdsson Allan Gomes N'kounkou
DCL Richarlison

Or maybe 343 with King in for Sigurdsson, but a 2 in midfield with Gomes in it and no Doucoure is enough to give me nightmares tonight.

Might be something close to that, we have been very unlucky here.

Sky pundits will be rubbing there hands I expect.
