I think from Don Carlo's comments, we are looking to sign 3 first team players to start right away. Probably 1 younger development project like Nkounkou, and 1 for the youth teams as well.

Knowing its likely 3, they probably are targeting RB, RW, and CM. Considering how we view GK and ST as the other two positions of need, Im betting they consider the improved performances of the past few weeks as signs the GK situation will be fine, and they view Kean as the other forward next season. If we sell Kean, then I think the 3 incomings becomes 4 and includes a striker.

He's only on loan there and we've been linked with him previously.

Holgate has started almost every game hes been availible under Carlo

But ideally for next season, you’d want:

New RB, Keane, Godfrey, Digne

Good cover across the back four but not good enough to be a starting CB for the future, as it stands. Just my opinion though, I do like him and hope he stays.

He’s kind of the perfect fit for a third CB and backup right back. Not excellent at either but good at both.

Holgate was very good at CB last season. Think Godfrey and Mina have jumped ahead of him in the queue now though. He’s versatile which is important in a squad player, so would rather we kept him. But we do need at top RB to open up the right side for us.

Id be interested in Trincao. He’s inconsistent but the talent is there.
