There's no way anyone can look at our performances this season and think we only need 2 or 3. Like @bilyaletdinov_ said maybe 2 or 3 starters but we really need much much better bench options apparently because we have played some awful football this season and the reasonings everyone gives are "our squad is crap"

We will need options to play different formations
4-3-3, 4-4-2(flat and diamond ) 4-2-3-1
Therefore we will need
RB, RW,LW ,CM and depending on Kean a striker

Keep Keane, get rid of Mina. Imo.

Former is 2 years older, but on less ££, another HG player, not as injury prone and ultimately a much better player.

That said, as you say in 2/3 years Keane won’t be starting for us either. But he’s currently our best CB, imo.

Holgate can fill in RB & CB but won’t ever be starting for us if we’re a top 6 side. Will he want to play backup?

Aarons, Gilmour & Antony (not seen much of him, I have to admit) would be great- but can’t imagine us getting the three of them.

Holgate has started almost every game hes been availible under Carlo

Allan is technical. He's not a wizard but he's the least of our worries entirely.

He's fine. If he was Alan Ferdinand and not exotic one named Brazilian Allan he'd have a different rep. I agree though in a team with good players he'd be more than adequate on the ball.

Funnily enough though if we do get europe and Carlo plans to keep using the "flat back 4" going forward against the stronger sides we could do with a 5th CB even if just some galoot who's happy on the bench.

Only takes 1 of our CB's to be out for us not to be able to play that system (Mina out now means we cant utilise it against Chelsea) and european football will mean more games and more injuries.

Knowing its likely 3, they probably are targeting RB, RW, and CM. Considering how we view GK and ST as the other two positions of need, Im betting they consider the improved performances of the past few weeks as signs the GK situation will be fine, and they view Kean as the other forward next season. If we sell Kean, then I think the 3 incomings becomes 4 and includes a striker.

If Richarlison carries on scoring for fun in that striker role he’s gonna have to start looking for a left winger as well lol
