ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

What's the record for yellow and red cards in a game? And what's the odds on it being broken today.. I'm 100% convinced that they will go out to get revenge and I'm hopeful that we will respond in kind...

Mate, you’ve missed the entire point.

media are eating out the palms of their hands, they’re the victims, and we need to support them in their time of need and naughty little Everton need to be punished.

We’ll get a red card, they definitely will not.

They’ll get a Salah pen, and Pickford will do something absolutely brain dead ala Newcastle away, trying to act up to his roll.

They’ll go for revenge, but it won’t be punished.

The thing is, the real game for us this week was against City. We lost but remained competitive and restricted City. City are by far the best team in the league and they had to play at the top of their game to beat us. I doff my cap to their excellence and sublime abilities. I can see that perseverance under Ancelotti with good recruitment then we can compete at the top level.

The rs are just a hard working team with a couple of star players who are approaching the downward trajectory of their careers. Klopp is about to go full Dortmund and FSG won't splash the cash.

This game is insignificant. I'd rather lose with no injuries and overtake them in the latter half of the season than win and be struggling to overtake them before the beginning of the next one. We need to be working towards the Cities, Uniteds and Chelseas long term. That's happening I believe.

Put a fork in Lidderpewl however. They're done. The next volume of this thread will be more like the Sunderland one with goggle eyed bewilderment at their fall I hope.
good post, I read the first paragraph and nodded approvingly. The more time that passes after the city game the more I'm realising that it was a good example of us making progress. We defended pretty well, we had a game plan that had a modicum of success (a couple of decent chances, scoring one) and made them work for the win, and win they did with a slice of fortune and a cherry of great skill on top. The RS are a different animal, once we have the money off our back of beating them, then I think we will overtake them. Everton are making progress (albeit slow) and the RS are on the wane.

there was an article in the daily mail today (soz, I wont link it) that had a look at Thiago and how crap he is and how many fouls he has committed. I didn't read it but I bet the big number of fouls doesn't translate into a corresponding number of yellow cards.

Sorry but here's another RAWK post

I know Klopp had to give the PC answer to the revenge issue , but I really think Everton are going to be on the receiving end of a few . If I was a player and I lost my tittle because of a shithouse team derailed it I’d want revenge. Knick nack arms would end up in the back of the net in a heap after every corner and Richie La would be kicked up and down the pitch . That clown is all mouth anyway so leave one on him early and he will go missing .

I honestly think he is a very good player and he could easily run the midfield today but he has not shown and the stats/performances prove it (so far) that he isn't world class like them lot think he is. BUT this is Everton and we made Fulham look like world beaters.

May it be long and hard, with their fans forevermore citing the previous derby as the reason for it.
