ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

No way I'm reading that and see its by Bascombe.

I dare anyone to look at his picture and not want to punch his head in.
Again, the media jump to their defence Pavlov's dog style yet again.
It wasn't that were comprehensively out played in the second half by a far superior and much better
tactically organised side? Nope. It's all down to having no crowd now. They had no crowd for the
second half of last season and virtually the first half of this season. But having no crowd wasn't mentioned
much then, when they were winning. Having no crowd doesn't have any effect on any other team - just them?
It pathetic, lazy journalism written by hacks who are measured on clicks and hits. Laughable.

Horrible fcuker, true colours shining through now, the media darling
I've been saying this all along I don't know why the media have fawned over him, maybe they're smart and have just been teeing him up for his inevitable fall from grace.

I have just seen him as a joke figure all along, there's no getting away from it they did well last year but it's now all falling apart spectacularly and guys, how good is it to watch?

One of the problems is that our players almost never get in the position that Salah was in yesterday.

We don't try to take on the opposition. Richarlison used to be able to, but he can't be bothered trying any more. DCL isn't that kind of player, and Iwobi can do so, but decides he's only allowed one dribble every three months.

Now if our players were braver and tried to take on defenders we'd be in a position to capitalise on being touched/pulled/knocked off balance, etc. Not that I want our players to act like Salah, but if we try to take on defenders we'll likely get fouled every now and again.

"Ok my second question is 'why are you such a cry arse?'"
I know reporters jobs are to not BE the story, just to report on it. But I wish more people would act out like you're having a pint with someone and less like an interview. If I was sitting there and he was acting that way to me in a pub, that would probably be my question. Only once, as far as I can recall, has someone pushed back on him and it was a HUGE story because it made him look like a complete knobhead because the reporter was correct entirely.

By the way, in amongst all that mirth and merriment yesterday this got lost: for the third time against rivals and potential rivals, Liverpool targeted their opponent's best player to injure. The did it with Rashford, they did it with Kane, and they did it yesterday with Thiago's attack on Gundogan.

No chance of this being flagged up by their craven media though.

I fully expect Barnes or Maddison to be targeted when they play Leicester next match up. The derby will see them try and put James on a stretcher.

They are a disgrace. And their defence of a title has been utterly pathetic - marked by belly aching, rubbish performances, and (now) resorting to attempting to kick their opponents off the pitch.

Laughing stocks and fully deserving it.

Why I was desperate for us to sign Wilf - lad wins you about 4-5 penalties a season by running at the defence and making the opposition foul him.

With our strength from set plays I'll be gutted if we aint looking for that type of player out on the RW in the summer - even if they dont win penalties just free kicks in dangerous areas like Pienaar used to win us.

Iwobi isn't good enough.
