lets put things into perspective here guys. it's early june, 2 months until the new season kicks off. at everton transfers very rarely get thrashed out which means (in general) good, well thought-out decisions are made and every £ gets squeezed for everything its got.

at least we're going into this window with a view to adding to the squad and we have assets that we are willing to part with to fund others. i'd love this demba ba fella (not that i know much about him) to join, and would also take bothroyd to add to the firepower up front, other than that i dont think we need much.

so fret not folks, the summers coming, fingernails are growing back and things could be worse at the end of the day...we could have been born red.

wage bill is going to be a problem for forseeable future i reckon, so more or less that seems the gist of it

Remember these freebies still want wages. We still have Saha, Beckford, Anichebe, Vellios, Silva & Yak competing for one position at the head of Moyes 5 man midfield.

Strength in numbers is usually a good thing... but rememeber you can have only 11 players on the pitch.

point well made sir, hopefully we can find a buyer for the yak and some clueless championship outfit offer to take anichebe off our hands. maybe on second thoughts just one new striker would be enough, i quite fancy vellios to be a useful big fella. hopefully he can step up to the plate. with baines service i dont see how a man his size wouldnt be able to bag a few.
