Inter Milan also looking for big money to stay afloat

Oddly that was where the original post goes back to if you trace it back mate.

I mean, a collapse of 3 or 4 clubs per league not only means there are loads of cheaps available but it also drives prices further down. Almot all the clubs in France, in addition to 3-4 in Italy/Germany are going to out enormous shockwaves throygh the eco-system of football.

I'm not sure your age mate, but we saw a bit of this with Everton in the 90's and early part of the 00's. Players constantly having to be sold to keep wheels turning. It could get quite ugly for teams.

Anyway in terms of Inter, if they go into fire sale mode any of,
Hakimi, De Vrij, Bastoni, Barela, Handanovic, Lukaku, Perisic, Eriksen. Even the lad Vecino who we were linked with before may come at a cheap price.

I am not sure on your phrosophy of a fire sale. Some of those clubs will see us coming and hey presto inflation will strike.

Sorry mate whats phrosophy (looks like one my auto-corrects).

I mean they might, but Brands has shown that doesnt work anymore. More to the point, the situation we are going into will be very different. Clubs will be deperate for cash. I can't really stress this enough. This summer (as this winter has) will look very different to what has gone before. It's a world where Josh King goes from valued at £25m + to pennies in the pound.

Hakimi + Bastoni + Barella are the 3 to get from Inter. All top notch.

Emerson mentioned again too...

Nearly 61 catcher and I’ve seen us go from Mersey millionaires to loan kings
I’ve seen the Vision play in the flesh (only a kid ) and I’ve seen Mike Walker teams , so I’ve seen it all
Carlo , Brands and James have me as excited about Everton as I’ve been in a long time
Moshiri and Usmanov in the background makes anything possible

It’ll never happen but I’d take De Vrig and Lukaku, if he would come back
With James and Richarlison Rom would be guaranteed 25 league goals a season

This is a massive opportunity for all the prem clubs, as cheaper players means the best recruitment will find success, we need to find the right players in a sea of teams.

Emerson is overrated crap

It's whether we would want someone more experienced.

I actually think Turkey sort of exists outside of the bubble. We will probably get the same sort of deal we got this time. 50-60% of the wages paid with no loan fee. We won't be getting anymore.
Exactly. Kenny and Bernard combined will probably get no more than £15m. Prices generally have fallen, so we probably will only get about £25m for Moise Kean.
So a budget of about £40m, but players were looking to buy will ge cheaper too.

Nice one.

How would you compare this period to the early/mid 80's, or the mid 60's before we were successful?
I grew up with us in the 90's, and the money troubles that came with it. It will not be easy for teams in the midst of that.

Kenny and Bernard will be lower fees yes. Saudi exists slightly outside of it, but will be free. Kenny probably 3-4 million.

Kean I actually think could go for more. Generally speaking younger players will hold value better. Already been linked with a 31m bid before. Can see us getting 35m for him. Still low but will go a lot further.

Will go further though
