Many of us said the Leicester result would be properly judged when we had played Newcastle. That remains the case, but right now it's looking like the week when we hit our ceiling. Hopefully I'm wrong and we can pull this one out to retrieve things. But I think it'll be a sobering, if not disastrous, week if we end it with 2 points.

It was exactly three minutes on the clock when Beglin “mentioned” the Pickford/VVD incident, as he called it! Then nearly twenty minutes before he managed to bring up the Richarlison red card for the tackle on Thiago!
Still struggles to walk probably. Call him bitter.
Better co-comms than Keown though i suspect. Hates us for some reason!

The problem is, even when we get in good positions, Digne or James basically only have DCL to aim for in the box. We’ve got nothing going on the right side of the field - neither Coleman or Iwobi are offering anything.

Gylfi is probably the one that needs to come off now though. He gets knocked off the ball as soon as there’s a hint of pressure and he’s adding nothing in the final third, which is supposed to be where he has something to offer.

Again, our lack of a ball carrier is a severe problem for us.

Incredible with the money spent.

And we have nothing on the bench to change it
I don't think it's just down to one type of player we need. The issue is we dont have a collective of players who are willing to run beyond when we're in possession. We are so static, it's easy for the opposition to recover and defend. It's something we need to be drilling into these players. It's a basic requirement

This Everton team is so weak the treatment on James is disgusting the team of the 80's would of sorted this out you boot us and we boot you then we play football
the ref is spineless also
Siggy did his part with a bad tackle for a yellow and now he’s getting dug out by our own fan base

Steve Bruce game tactics for this game - Kick the crap out of their best player 'James' to weaken them.

No protection whatsoever from the officials either.

I would bring Godfrey on for the 2nd half and lets get a bit tougher with these nobodies instead of making them look like a decent team.
We should never change the backline unless there is injury. It works.

Holgate Mina Keane Godfrey.

Push Digne forward.
