Hmmm.

Considering I expect us to be sitting really deep against Leicester, I'd be surprised if we rested DCL for this one. Also considering that this is only our first midweek match since September.

An obvious time to rest him would be one of Sheffield United and Manchester City.

I can agree with what you say. But if or when we rest him I'd go with Richy down the middle and Gordon on the left. Tosun left on the bench

Teams that sit deep often have quicker attacking players rather than hold up ones anyway.

Gordon Richarlison Iwobi

Thats a good enough front 3 to hit Leicester on the counter with DCL off the bench for maybe the last 20-25 minutes

A point wouldn’t be bad, but there’s no reason why we can’t get 3 points this evening. Leicester seem to be a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde team this season either winning comfortably or losing badly.

Since James and Coleman is out we're most likely sticking with the same 11 which is probably the correct call but Keane and Mina against Vardy is not really ideal.
That’s why the fullbacks have to stay in position as they did on sat and we have to be prepared to concede possession and sit deep. Alan and Dacoure should then be able to stay in midfield and we can restrict service to Vardy but more importantly stop him getting in behind. It will take a lot away from our attacking abilities but I still fancy the front 3 with Iceland supporting having a goal or two in them. Also need to get back to being good off attacking set peices. We looked brilliant on them for the first 5 weeks then it stopped, that’s why Iceland is in the team he needs to swerve the floaters and fizz them in like the cross Mina wasted on Saturday
