James won’t play this and Arsenal, would rather him start v Arsenal. I’d be more than happy sitting back against these and hit them on the counter, similar to the Chelsea game, they seem to struggle against sides who done that (West Ham, Fulham come to mind). Squad rotation will come into each line up a lot more now were playing every 3 days for a month. Just dreading the game Carlo decides to rest DCL and start Cenk

Me Too...

I think we have to play in a similar way to yesterday.

Defend in an organised fashion, with the full backs not going up the pitch and Iwobi and Richarlison working hard out wide. That allows Allan and Doucoure to stay in the middle and not get pulled out of position.

For me, if James is fit, the question is whether he should play instead of Sigurdsson (who just had his best match in a long time) as a second striker, or whether we should keep him fresh for Arsenal.

Similar question for Coleman coming in for Holgate.

Godfrey I think has to stay at left back for the foreseeable. It has limited our effectiveness going forward on that side but he is doing very well defensively.
Spot on post agree with everything apart from if Coleman comes back in it should be Mina out not Holgate.
Mina offers the opportunity for the opposition to score every game. It wasn’t discussed much becuase Giroud didn’t score when had a snap shot from 6 yards out but the only reason he got that chance was because 6’4 Mina lost a header to their full back on the back post. He is a liability. Holgate was excellent out of position, I want to see him back next to Keane for all the Xmas games, having a settled centre half partnership would see us return to the early season form.

I watched for the first time in ages on sat live and we won, I get to watch again tomorrow night, I hope I'm a lucky charm, but alas my luck is poo.

I was hoping we had the seen the last of Hank...he's Turkish league standard

Full 11 if they’re fit. James for Sigurdsson. Get the 3 points and keep momentum going.

I would be tempted to leave James on the bench because I'd want him to play in both the following matches. I'm not sure he can play 3 games in 7 games after returning from injury. It would actually be 5 in 13 days if he plays every game between now and new year, so we have to manage him.

Same.

I don't think the way we'll need to play tomorrow will actually count too heavily on James.

If he's fit, get him on the bench and he's there for if we need him to come on.

If he's feeling the injury still, give him more rest and have him fit for the Christmas period.

I'd actually be tempted to have Rich on the bench too, and play Bernard left wing.
