Newcastle and Villa attract larger crowds than us. Even Spurs seem to be finding that they can't spend like they used to.

What's United's debt now? £300m? The money that Abramovich has put in to Chelsea is a loan. What if he decides he wants his money back? Arsenal need to sell something like £15m of talent per season to pay for the Emirates. Let them do that. The last thing I would want to see is for us to spend money that we don't have only to eventually come under such financial pressure that we have to sell off assets cheaply.

We've shown on the pitch that we're not too far away from the big guns. I don't see any reason to change our current transfer market policy, even if we had the luxury of being able to do things differently.

Pretty sure that Arsenal bit is false, they operate at a considerable profit, and our transfer market policy kind of sucks. I agree with the essence of your post though, there's no point spending because the club doesn't generate any money to spend.

oh dear god what utter drivel.

Ok champ, you get a new owner, he promises £50m in interest free loans for the transfer market this coming season. What happens next?

i could live with smaller transfer budgets IF.
we had a working plan to increase income, we dont.
we had a board who could actually complete a ground move, we dont
we had a board that could build a small annexxe without chaos, we dont
we had a board and chairman who can communicate honestly with supporters, we dont
we had a board who could offer a consistant transfer budget ,on time, each season, we dont.

i am not asking for an abramovich, just someone who can improve on what we have, that would not be difficult really.

The £24m annual mortgage payments on the club’s £360m Emirates Stadium have become such a burden that Wenger admits he must now flog big-name players EVERY season.

He declared: “The strategy of the club is to sell every year and to buy less expensive players.”

And he has warned this official policy could continue for another 17 YEARS!

He added: “We manage at Arsenal to maintain all our football ambitions — national and European —while having to free up - for 17 more years - an annual surplus of £24m to pay for our stadium.

“The club’s strategy is to favour the policy of youngsters ahead of stars and to count on the collective quality of our game.”

What you're asking for isn't unreasonable, it's just not that easy. I agree with you that there are areas where the club could improve. The biggest stumbling block for us is the ground. It seems like either finances, Liverpool council or fan pressure have blocked every avenue that the board have explored so far. That has a knock on effect in every other area. Until they're able to negotiate those constraints, they have to try and make the most of what they've got. I would argue that they're doing that job very well on the whole.

sorry but WHAT????
Kings dock, hmm that was down to BK , remember the FSF?
Kirkby, well what can i say about such a flawed plan, even i saw the problems with that.

the truth is DK was a desperate throw of the dice to get a payday for the board. it was a poor ground in a poor location, poor transport infrastructure. it was doomed from day one you can argue that their doing a good job, and while your at it, argue that we are actually league champions, or better yet world champions. this board are a disgrace to the club, they cannot even build a simple annexxe ffs.

your actually proof of how they have lowered standards and expectations among the supporters.

balanced? he blamed everyone BUT the board for the ground move failures.

Been another season of ifs and buts....dejavu. It could have been a lot lot worse.

If half the draws were wins , we would be comfortably in the top 6. Shows how we missed a clinical striker or maybe a more positive thinking manager tactics wise..

RT is always right

The board - To give us some money regardless of the inevitable sale of a high priced player

In - A striker, someone like Klose, Huntelaar, Demba Ba type player. I have no idea who would come in, but someone of that type. Baines has the ammo ready for them, but there's only so much Anichebe can do with a perfect cross

In - A creative attacking midfielder. Someone maybe with a point to prove, someone who can pass going forward and isn't shy of having a dig himself. The new Van der Vaart you could say. Again, no idea who this is or if he'd join

Out - Anyone who isn't bothered or not really looking like a first XI player

A must no - Playing 1 up front with a team that isn't set up for it.

For me the really key positions are wide left and right, if we can get 10 goals and 10 assists from either position we will win a lot of games.

Now we would all like a striker, but for me its the two inside forwards left and right that we need to upgrade. Theres no point buying a forward with little support by the two widrawn inside forwards as has been the case with Pienaar, Coleman, Billy etc.

For our system to work we need 10 0 15 goals from a striker, 10 from wide right and left (inside forward), 10 from Cahill, and for Bainsey Arteta, Mofro to be chipping in.

True mate, but you also have to consider the possiblility that he might be right and your wrong. I do to.

are you people all on the same medication?

the FACTS are there for all to see, BK brought up the imaginary FSF and samuelson to prevent gregg getting control, killing KD
the inquiry blew DK out the water, which ANYONE with half a brain could see coming. where, on gods green earth, could he be right?
but hey, he thinks the board are doing a good job? one question.

WHERE?

Well when you put fact in caps, it must be.

Well turnover is up 100% under the current board. Debt to turnover has dropped by more then 50%.

Im not sure timelines are right in terms of the FSF and KD, neither am i convinced gregg was anything other then a bad Ted either.

As for DK, massive oppurtunity goes begging, people were ecstatic, stopped for a second realised we were still skint and had a moan - ive little sympathey for anyone who was against the scheme who now having a pop and a moan, many clapped this reality.

FFS we're back to Bill negotiating the sky tv deal again. Is there anything the soft **** can't do?

As for DK being a massive opportunity, if you believe that you need sectioning.

i seriously doubt the level of intelligence of our supporters.
