I love it when the fans of the little teams sign up and give us their opinion on their team when we haven’t asked for it. They just want their little heads patted and I’m more than happy to oblige

Leeds have spent only 40% of the time we have in the top tier. This is just their 51st season (putting them 25th on the list).

That @LeedsW5 thinks we are comparable clubs is rather amusing.

Leeds had a genuinely world class team in the late 60's. That team we overhauled in 69/70 was one of the great English teams.

However the current idolation they seem to have, one on the size of club they think they re, and secondly on the quality of team I find very surprising.

Yeah, but the data is drawn from aggregating shot success across the Top 5 Leagues. So for every Harry Kane you have a Vincent Janssen.

The short answer is that better players will (in general) exceed their xG more, but that even they don't do that consistently and are just as likely to undershoot xG as to overshoot it. So a team undershooting their xG may have a problem with finishing chances at that point in time, but unless there's a player-specific problem you'd expect it to even our (as per the law of averages) over a season.

From that we can see that Spurs' good run is at the moment contingent on Son finishing every chance he gets, as Kane is only shooting at his xG. If Son hits a bad run then Spurs will immediately start dropping points as they don't have the creativity margin of chances created to afford to miss those.

While I am not arsed about you being here, quite the opposite, I would like to point out that EVERY year (even before I left) we have had fans from the likes of Reading, Hull, Swansea @bryanswan, Norwich, SUnderland, Fulham etc etc all come on here giving it large, they all disappear without a whimper in the end.

Just sayin'

No it means your players are not very good. Did you see Kock for Germany the other night? He was completely exposed and completely out of his depth.

Klich is what? James Rodriguez is one of the top creators, he's levels ahead of Klich who is nowhere near that level.

You will be performing miraculously to still be in the league in 2 years mate. If you are, then you can begin a rebuilt and start looking to slowly push up the league.

As I've said, there's not a single player in your team who would get anywhere near our 11.

As a final aside, you will not be getting great upgrades, just as Sheffield didn't. The reality is, nobody of any quality will ever want to go to a club akin to Leeds these days. You will buy more poor players, andlike Sheffield it will probably catch up with you. You're riding a wave currently, but are a championship club and will be back down there again soon.

Phillips in the midfield would be a very welcome addition to our midfield to oust Gomes/Sigurdsson and I can only assume whoever they have at right back would improve us providing he can run and cross!

But yeah other than that, much better quality across the pitch.

Leeds on the grand scheme of things cant compare to Everton, anyone who is a football fan can see Everton are stalwarts of the game with a pretty decent record of Leagues and cups - given not for a very long time since they last won anything but still. Leeds on the other hand have this reputation for the fan base more than anything.

Everton have been in the top flight longer than anyone else, right? and if you look at rolling averages for league finishes Everton still finish up near the top 5 or 6 in the top flight, this data is a few years old so bump Everton down a peg or 2.

Note to snowflakes from other forums, football started in the 1800s in England ;)

Check our league record at Elland road been there - with top sides - our last two wins - dave Hickson scored in a win - 50 years on a certain young Wayne Rooney scored when they were last relegated......
We usually do OK v them at home ......
Blame Harry Catterick for giving them Bobby Collins....... :)

You can write off the quality of our players at your peril. Bielsa's Leeds are very much greater than the sum of their parts. Koch has had a few nightmare moments but has equally had as many standout performances in his short time here. Every CB has shone under Bielsa so far and Koch will find that consistency in time. We wouldn't swap Phillips or Klich for Gomes and Allan and you guys probably vice versa. We have added real quality too, Rodrigo and Raphinha will absolutely cause every team issues.

Cool story

oh right

Leeds are a bit over rated but having said that Everton will need to do far far better than the effort against Fulham to get 3 points

I don't so that mate. Fulham and Leeds are similar levels, given tat Leeds only scraped past them at home. For us being at home, it's a comfortable win, or should be. They're a poor team.

Fair enough mate but makes more sense to gloat about how good you lads are after the game no?

Looks a bit silly if we go and beat you 4-2?

Be a tough game like.

I'm sorry, but Phillips and Klich are not in the same league as Gomez/Doucoure never mind Allan who's another level above. Klich is older than Allan and this is his first taste of the big leagues. If he was in any way comparable he wouldn't be playing for the likes of Leeds.

I can accept you are perhaps greater than the sum of your parts, but it's not a team made up of any real quality. It's a championship squad who are having a go, a bit like what Sheffield United did last season.

Doucoure is a better player than Phillips. If Phillips was as good as Doucoure, he'd had left Leeds before he turned 25.
