Nice to see Klopps recklessness in playing people before they are fully recovered has seen another injury for Keita. How many is that he has now caused?

Herr Shipman is absolute weapon.
He's bleating about player welfare but tonight waited until the 86 min to use his full quota of subs, against an absolutely shocking showing from Leicester. He sometimes doesn't even use all three subs yet he wants two more?!?
He runs the kneecaps and muscles off his players legs, and brings them back too quicky from any knocks - it's as simple as that.
The Peds must mask so many health and injury issues they have.
Sorry Nath, but the "sure he didnt use his subs anyway" argument is completely misplaced. The major problem with three subs at the moment is managers feel (rightly or wrongly) they can't afford to make subs for fear of injury, we have seen ourselves with James at Southampton that it's a nightmare watching someone hobble around.
Football is losing the tactical element of subs unfortunately. Anyone who watched the city v pool match saw two teams effectively shake hands on 70 mins; because neither manager went to win the game with their bench
I'm not sure on that at all. Leicester like Liverpool were heavily hit by injuries and Liverpool had the game sewn up, yet the likes of Mane stayed on for 90. It's just stupid from Klopp. Likewise, if he had any sense midweek he would rest all 11 he played on Sunday and just play the kids, they are all but through. Fabinho and Matip (one injury prone the other who has been rushed back from a hamstring) should be rested. Whats the betting he doesn't do that though?
We are seeing this differently. What I am trying to see is that Managers are taking the position that they can't make subs for fear of injury. You say the match was tied up last night, but suppose Klopp takes Mane and one of the CB's off at 70 to rest them, suddenly Milner does his hamstring & they are down to 10 men for 20 mins and draw 2-2. That is the fear and that is why they are arguing they cannot make subs anymore. Penny seems to be dropping with other managers around the league, 8 of them have now called for 5 subs to be returned, I think it will happen soon
Re Leicester injuries V Liverpool's completely agree that they were both hit as badly as each other
I mean he made 1 substitute up until the 90th minute last night. Thats not the actions of a manager looking after his players.
He put Keita back in too soon and he has broken down, he's lucky Fabinho didn't do the same, but it's only a matter of time. Substitutions won't make any difference when you have irresponsible managers like Klopp running players into the ground and blaming everyone else for his mistakes.
I think we need to leave them out of this, it is a macro conversation rather than specific to the RS. Again its a case of how you see it, what's worse leaving players out there fit and hoping for the best or making your subs and leaving an injured player out there. I referenced James against Southampton, it is a nightmare situation for a manager, if James was out long term we would be shouting about five as well.
According to BBC, soft tissue injuries are up 16% YOY and that is going to snowball in the next few weeks. The smaller squads are going to suffer massively once it's two games per week, it will be a car crash
Separately - Keita played international games last week I think, so why not play him. I suspect they are quickly writing off this transfer fee; the reality for him is he is made of glass by the looks of it.
As soon as we go to 5 subs, we get another full asterisk season for me as there was a mid-season rule change.
It was already compromised, but with the sub numbers then the league's integrity is fully breached. They should have had the 5 sub rule from the start if that's what was needed - and with the fixture congestion it obviously was.
International football is a lot lower intensity and he has played 2 games quickly, he needs a rest, so does Robertson, but Klopp is too arrogant to do right by the players.
Injuries are up. In all honesty though, I have absoutely no sympathy for people who were at the vanguard of trying to finish the previous season which had in effect been ended anyway. Their greed to do that has meant we have to operate in a tight schedule, and now means players get injured. Had we have just formally ended a season that had been completed, had a rest and started this one a little earlier with some breaks we would have been fine. As far as I'm aware, Klopp didn't make a single comment in favour of that, so he has no right to whine about the consequences of the actions he wanted to be taken.
I stated a 3 week pre-season was never going to be enough. And surprise surprise it looks like I've been proven right, again.
