ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Van Dijk second. Ha Ha Ha. FFS, he's not even top 20.

Looks as though his performances at Southampton haven’t counted then? Just the 2 and a half seasons he’s had for Liverpool. Compare that to the careers of Adams Terry Sol Campbell, Kompany etc. it’s a complete joke .

The problem with any kind of poll is that United and Liverpool fans absolutely love them and vote in huge numbers, it sways everything.

How is this cretin in a football pundit/expert job?! Only the beeb (aka Torypool tv) would have him I suppose!

159 Liverpool games and he's never predicted a loss for them?!? Jesus christ, if I performed like that in my job I'd be finished, the biased turd!

Bet he has tried to use his inside knowledge of their PED mastery!

Vidic was better than the other 2.

I remember always laughing at Ferdinand when Ferguson was playing. It was like watching a master class in how a defender can go hiding.

I can think of better defenders than them. Hell Arsenal had 4 of them better on the pitch just as Arsene Wenger rocked up.

Online poles are answered by young people who have seen and experienced little enough to think they know everything (I was once the same) - so their answers will go for recent players who have played for the sky brands that have most TV coverage.

Hence why no Tony Adams, Dave Watson or BEFORE football existed- Kevin Ratcliffe, Bobby Moore, Terry Butcher

The plethore of ex RS 'pundits' employed by the media is scandalous.

All notions of objectivity and conflict of interest are completely ignored.

Fear of the Kult fanbase, and the pathetic desire to be oneday reemployed by LFC, means they tow the Stalinist line to the letter.

Van Dijk played his best football at Celtic and S'ton. No question of that for me.

And a defender who cant defend to boot. Get's away with murder because he has a Liverpool shirt on and officials fear getting their houses burnt down or acid in their wives' faces.

Dave Watson was better than Vidic...and a mile better than Van Dijk. And Ratcliffe was the best CB of all time if that's the measure.

Oh yeah, forgot that it was PL only.

Still: Van Dijk...maybe top 50. MAYBE.

Rather have Tony Adams. No frills defender that marshalled his back four and got the job done.
