I don't think Ancelotti will change too much from the team he went with against southampton. He will of course have to swap james and find a replacement and a system he think will compensate for the loss of James.

I feel too much negativity has been attached to iwobi and sigurdsson following that defeat and much of it unwarranted. It was a tough game going into it against Southampton and looked very much a 50/50 before kick off. We started that game ok and for the first 20 mins or so probably edged it. They then raised their game to a very high level for the next 20 mins and at 2 nil it was game over I felt with is being without richy and Seamus.

This next game is a totally different kind of game to that and it's not one where we want to just drop players based on that last game. We need to play the best eleven currently available and I feel that does include siggy and iwobi.

We need to focus on not conceding first and foremost and look to pick up free kicks in and around their area. Particularly without james and the regular full backs it's going to be hard to break them down so our best chance is using our aerial ability but keeping very tight to avoid a situation where we are chasing the game because we just have to many injuries to key men to have a realistic chance of turning a losing position around.

How many chances do you want to give those two frauds? They continuously let the club down and they aren’t good enough.

Not saying we can’t win but we will be without Richarlison James Digne Coleman Holgate. They’re arguably 3 of our world class players and also 3/4 of our probably first choice back 4.

Even City don’t win when they lose De Bruyne Aguero and Laporte. I can’t ever remember Liverpool lining up with Salah Mane Robertson TAA and Van Dijk all missing at the same time.

There’s not many clubs that can go away from home in the premier league without 5 first team players and win. Once again, Everton have somehow allowed ill discipline and injuries to lead to an availability crisis. We won’t do anything this season if we can’t get out best players on the pitch regularly.

Liverpool smashed us Two nill with the kids. So we can use that as inspiration.

We have gone from thinking we can beat Liverpool to hoping Newcastle beat us by just a goal in two weeks.

Get a hold yer selfs. If we as fans fold like deck chairs how can we expect the team not to. We have count doucou and Allan to bully them in the middle. Conku looks a prospect I can’t wait to see him against Newcastle. if he can get up the wing he can then look over to the top goal scorer in the league. Let’s hope Gordon steps up if he gets a game. I’m sure he is starving for it.

Southampton were tactically astute and targeted our right side with Godfrey out of position and James not fully fit. Hopefully with JJK coming in there will be a better balance to the team. We’ve every chance to win the midfield battle. Up to the lads who come in to deliver in the final third. DCL will bang them in if he gets the service.

Not having our starters on either wing is going to be tough.

take salah, mane, taa and Robertson out of the Liverpool team and they’d look ordinary.

full squad and I don’t think anyone would be flapping.

Until they’re playing us.

If Ancellotti tells Nkounkou to stay back for most of this game we may as well not bother. Can’t see anything good coming from our right hand side with Kenny and Iwobi (who I imagine will play there).
Yeah i can see Delph playing in a 3 with Doucoure and Allan to allow Nkounkou to get forward, same with Kenny on the right.
