Exactly this. It winds me up how some fans are so black and white that they think anyone good has no faults and anyone crap has no redeeming features. Pickford made some good saves today, he makes good saves reasonably often. He can sometimes play good passes. Occasionally he even catches the ball. Fundamentally though, he’s a poor goalkeeper. You can’t throw them in your own net as often as he is and just put it down to being ‘young for a keeper’ or ‘a bit nervy’. It’s painful to watch at the moment, it’s just a matter of when he’ll make a cockup not if.

but what about a tear and a half ago where you where all saying he was top class.......short memories.....

ok......we will have to agree to disagree.... I think he is a vet good goalkeeper...with the potential to be be brilliant.....if only the fans....his/EFC fans.....would get behind him...

People have made their minds up on him and they won’t change it ,fact. There’s fans here which would rather see him fail so they can see another keeper come In rather than see him do well and succeed at our club. Main thing is carlo is our manager and he keeps selecting him

Could easily have been sent off today. But I agree with you that a steady but unremarkable keeper wouldn’t have made those saves against Spurs or against Matip’s header today. Whatever you say, it’s never a dull moment with Pickford.
