Not sure i agree he should be sold. He’s an okay player for rotation, homegrown, loves the club and doesnt cost us much in wages. If anything, a loan would be the best. He gets playing time and hopefully comes back a better player.

We should keep him for at least this season, he's good cover in the midfield who is rarely on the treatment table. We certainly shouldn't be getting rid for FFP reasons just because we can't shift Deplh and Besic.

He wasn’t on form last year, but he’s nowhere near as bad as some in here say. A loan may be very good because he wlll have to prove himself at a new club without the local boy tag.
Southampton are a great club for developing talent. I think it could really work out for everyone.

If Carlo has a system with Doucoure and Allan, then Davies is the only midfielder who can play that way, if one gets an injury.
I assume if that happened he would go to a 4-4-2.

He is not a box to box nor a dm enforcer.

But then we really should get rid of Delph, Besic and Baningime etc before him.
