Assuming we go 4-3-3 (he could go 4-4-2 if James is on the bench or given night off.)

Pickford - Don't see the point in messing with changing the keeper when don't have a number 2 who can challenge him

Digne - onf our best players, used to playing in a lot of games in England he can cope

Branthwaite - Think his size and strength will help him against this kind of opposition, good opportunity to give him a game

Keane - Went with Keane over Mina because Keane is less injury prone

Kenny - should be desperate to prove he can challenge for a place, obviously a good player and should still be levels ahead of Salford.

Dacoure - could be a physcial game, so starting a strongest midfielder makes sense, maybe look to take him early if game is.comfortable.

Davies - A player with over 100 games in premier League and with new arrivals knows his future is under threat, you would expect him to be able to outplay Salford's midfield.

Sigurdsson - same as Davies, Siggurdsson will also see a chance of getting back in first 11 if Gomes dips in form or picks up injury

Bolasie - I want to see what he's got left, his pace power and directness will cause Salford problems, he's always a threat if he's fit despite his limitations

Bernard - A little surprised he never got on the pitch Vs Spurs, has a decent partnership with Digne and has performed well Vs lower league opposition before.

Kean - Would expect Kean to want to show something and get a goal or two so he stays in managers plans

Pickford

Kenny Gibson Braithwaite Nkounkou

Delph Gylfi
Gordon

Walcott Kean Bernard

Dont risk the new lads over a midweek game against some plumbers.

That kind of team is more than good enough to get the win at home.
I would play :

Lossl
JJK - Gibson - Branthwaite - Niels
Walcott - Davies - Iceland - Bernie
Gordon
Kean
Pickford
JJK Branthwaite Gibson Nkounkou
Davies Delph
Walcott Siggy Gordon
Kean

Theres one anomaly with centre backs.

Never ever play 2 left footed centre backs together, it never works.

Pickford
Kenny Keane Branthwaite Nkounkou
Doucoure Allan Sigurdsson
Iwobi Kean Gordon
3-0

Good team, this. Let's face it, the only way Salford is going to have a chance of beating us is lumping balls into the box and hoping something breaks kindly for them, so the physicality of Keane, Doucoure and Allan will be important.

Here’s tonight’s team leaked lads and girls

let’s hope we don’t shoot our selves in the foot here

Even though they should win very comfortable that team scares me

Sensible selection, I know we are desperate for silverware but this trophy has become a bit of a joke so not worth risking first team players.
