Spurs

Fair enough Catcher, we all have different opinions (although I don't think you will find many that will agree that 27yr old Kane is only worth £80-£90 million.)

He's not getting sold this year. In a years time, at 28 I have my doubts there will be many wanting to pay £100m+ for him. Spurs will probably keep him, which works for them.

Let's be honest here Catcher, you are now starting to move the goalposts and it was about Kane's CURRENT value in this market, not a year later.
As I said, I think your value of £80-£90 million is low. I have no problem with your opinion.

I'm off out now mate so I can't reply any more until later (for some reason all my emoji's have disappeared so can't give you the thumbs up.)

As to Kane's value, those who could afford him, wouldn't want him and those that would want him can't afford him with the restrictions on finances. His value is really a moot point. Spurs will not sell him for anything less than top dollar, and honestly is there even a hint of a rumour about an offer for him?

Best thing for all round, is Kane to have an injury free season and start scoring freely again. His sales price will gain, Spurs will thrive and then have the option of selling him when the footballing world comes back to its excessive market normality.

It's far too early to write off Spurs.
They need a few more signings though.
What I'm trying to work out is what positions they need signings that are going to make a huge difference. They're weak in midfield and at LB but they've signed players for a good deal of money in those positions lately and nothing has come of it. I don't know that signings are what the answer should be.

I wouldn't swap Kane and Son (ignoring the part where we all hate him, just ability) for DCL/Kean and Richarlison and that is entirely down to Kane looking poor. As someone said no team that can pay Spurs price for Kane would ever do it at this point in his career.

Thats true and a fair point. His value this summer would probably be higher. There's a lot of speculation. If the recession isn't so deep, or FFP ends again his value will likely go up substantially.

My feeling is he will stay at Spurs. There's probably been a window of opportunity for him to make a top move that has been missed. Maybe in 2-3 years he may go to a slower league, and looks a very natural player for Juventus or an Inter etc in Italy to me.

DCL or Keane with Richarlison are better than Kane and Son???
It's good that we are all freely allowed to have an opinion and not locked up in a psychiatric institution for airing them :p

I think Kane is past his best. Kean and DCL aren't. Richarlison is getting better too. I like our guys.

Of course there won't be many clubs that will want to pay 100m+ because only a few can do that in the first place. He's a proven goalscorer and British so that bumps up the price. He is better than Lukaku and his price for Utd/Chelsea would be 110+ million imho. A few years ago it might have been 150m.

Nothing at all wrong with liking your own players but come on......
Let me be clear: I think Kane's goal totals are more likely to keep going down than to rebound to 17/18 type levels. I wouldn't want him unless something changes in his game that signals he remembered how to be the old Kane again.

It's a shame I don't know you cos I would bet as much as you wanted on Kane and Son scoring more goals than DCL or Keane and Richarlison.
In fact you should get in touch with the bookies, you will get good odds.

American bookies aren't going to be doing anything like that.

Anyway I'm up 1-0.

Edit: Oh and for all your confidence the count last year was literally 29-26. This isn't nearly as far fetched as your acting but I guess that is par for the course for you around here.
