Not the sort of comments you usually make when you expect a player to stay.

But I dont see how he goes anywhere else in the PL? He's not good enough to play for United, City, Liverpool, Chelsea or United. And Palace's value of him is far too high for likes of Spurs, Leicester, Arsenal, Wolves, ourselves etc to buy him.

I dont see how he leaves really

Depends on how much they want to keep a player who clearly wants gone.

£30 Million is what I would pay no more unleee we shifted a player too

Is 30 mill even realistic, seems like Palace have zero interest from anyone at their value, in a market where Jamo Rodríguez is 20mill, 12mill, or free depending on what source you read. Willian, Fraser on frees. He’s 28 in Nov. I think it’s now or never for both him and Palace.

Palace need to look around and be realistic really. That’s not me criticising Wilf, I like him.

Actually think he may end up somewhere obscure and not in the PL.

I’m not sure about him moving to Europe, not many teams could afford him or his wages.
him and his agent have massively fooked up.

im sure the new kid Eze will be thinking about putting a clause in any new deal in the future, if he really takes the prem by storm. Palace havent helped themselves moving forward.

I remember a mate who’s a Celtic fan, telling me, this was after VVD. It was when the rumours started about tierney & dembele leaving. Abd you get all the celtic fans on twitter saying they won’t leave they will stay for the ten in a row, especially tierney. But he was like they will go Abd we will have to let them, as we won’t be able to get good young players to sign in the future, if we are going to block their pathway

Now would be the time sadly with what is going on ,clubs need the dough which leaves them vulnerable, they would shaft us all day long, get him now for a realistic price.would take him then.

Probably because they rejected big money last season then he ended up with a measly 3 goals and now no one wants him because you're probably asking 40m for him which he ain't worth.
They done the same with Benteke, he was scoring goals then they rejected offers and decided to keep him, think they wanted 50m, The next season he couldn't hit a barn door with a shovel and never has since, he's now worthless. They have a habit of keeping players too long.

...I really hope it’s not a ‘thing’ and I also haven’t seen a creditable rumour. There are much more effective players out there than him.
Cheers Eggs, I’m with you on Zaha, would rather swerve. Also, thought I’d write a written reply as I always appreciate your input on here

I think his agent made a massive gaff when he signed his last Palace contract, basically signed away any player leverage for five years, for below market share wages. I think he might have changed agents since.

Yep, we we’re talking about something similar earlier with Kean and Lukaku, Raiola placing players here, developing the appreciating then trying to sell them on. Celtic do it well, it’s part of their business model and it’s accepted, tbf they do it well considering they don’t get the TV money PL clubs make. Tierney is a bit different he’s a tribal Celt fanatic. Doesn’t look the same player to me at Arsenal, looked much happier and motivated at Celtic, he’s had bad injuries there kind, but he’s there for the money and will go back to Parkhead once he has enough of it.

This isn’t even a real story but I wouldn’t go near him for anything over £30m and even then there’d have to be a lot of caveats. I think he’d do well for us but he was poor last season and he’d command high wages.

Think if there were a lot of performance related add ons and we could shift a few players, Tosun especially in the other direction would be a good start, then he’d be an ok bit of business but really there’s players just as good if not better out there with a lot less baggage, much cheaper and younger.

If he came last year it’d been probably perfect for everyone involved, we’d have overpaid obviously but I think that year here would’ve done him well and he’d be settled, season is gonna he started before we make another signing and they’ll take a while to get into the playing rhythm of the squad.

Translation:
We [Poor language removed] up majorly last year, and got greedy. We thought we had found the goldpot at the end of the rainbow. Hence, we thought we could get some knobheads to pay at leat 65 mill for a player who wants to leave us.

This year, he still wants to leave us, and his game is severely affected by his unhappiness. But due to Covid and his age and the market, no one even dares bid for him. And we have no use for him, as we need the money more than his current medium+ performances and 4 goals a season. Besides, we bought this kid from QPR, he is awesome. Worth 225m easy.

Dear PL teams: Please, could you submit an offer of 30m quids or above? Preferably above. FIrst submitted offer (in writing) gets a free scratch card, and gets to sit on my lap before christmas.

Cheers,
Your uncle Woy

The three players we have bought have been less than 25m each, two of which of have a higher profile in football at the top level. Palace have no convincing argument in any negotiation, player wants out and value will continue to drop. Would not give them anything more than 20m and your right anything above that is performance related

I remember seeing people saying we wouldn’t get Ancelotti. And we wouldn’t get James.

People wanted those players though :)

Bolasie & Walcott will be the main two.

Bernard also due to his wages.

Personally think we'll struggle to shift more than one of them but we'll see.
£20m plus take your pick of the prem rejects we have

@Alan Whittle You knew the shopping list was coming lol

Delph
Sigurdsson
Tosun
Bernard
Sandro
Bolasie
Besic

Baningime
Pennington
Connolly

I would be sending that list to Palace and asking them to take 2 from the top and 1 from the bottom lol

The Zaha COUNTDOWN ;)
