Confirmed Signing James Rodriguez

From someone who purports to be ITK. I cannot vouch for them personally, but they have certainly been right about other things -

The hold-up with James is down to significant wear and tear in both his ankle and hip, discovered during his medical. The EFC medical team have said it is highly unlikely that the club could get more than 20 games a season out of him. The has led to renegotiations on the terms of his sale.

(Although I have to say this can't really have come as much of a surprise as looking at his career, he has rarely made more than low 20's in appearances whichever club he has played for).

From what I understand the transfer is still going ahead. Take it or leave it.

So transfermarkket says
19/20 14
18/19 28
17/18 39
16/17 33
15/16 32
14/ 15 46

Now I know I’m a bit thick I’m not sure I’d describe any of them as low 20’s

Why do people need to be so arsy when people share stuff like this?

Give them the benefit of doubt...
Not being arsy at all boss. For me the transfer threads are fun, I'm long past fretting over Everton transfers or anything else in my life I have no control over. But a lot of people are very caught up in this and I've no time for people who take the mick.
I appreciate what you mean about the benefit of the doubt, but the lad would have folk believe club doctors disclosed confidential medical information, breaking data protection law and medical ethics, including likely a signed code of conduct and possibly NDA's during a high profile multi million pound transfer involving one of the biggest clubs in the world.
They did this by telling his mate, who then told him and he slung on the Internet.

Nah.

Going to need @Tofeenut to chip in on this
But James has only had small problems with his hips/ankles. Most of his time out over the past few seasons has been his knees.

“The Everton medical team have said its highly unlikely that we will get more than 20 games a season out of him” is the bit that got me. As if that is an actual thing that a doctor would say. As if there is any way of possibly knowing that, regardless of past injuries (of which he hasn’t actually had a long term one ever)

I think thats bloody good going for a top level player.
19/20 is more down to being frozen out by Zidane.
Think there's way too much being made of this tbh & a little bit of green eyed monster.

But....

The leg bone's connected to the knee bone,
The knee bone's connected to the thigh bone,
The thigh bone's connected to the hip bone,
Now shake dem skeleton bones!

Oh look. He hasn’t had a long term injury in his career.

I’ve know idea If the lad is right about the medical , literally no clue but I know that fact he mentioned In support appears false which you could I suppose take onboard in consideration of his other point .

A huge proportion of his time out over the last few seasons has been because managers haven't picked him. Benitez and Zidane don't particularly rate him. However, legendary coaches Jupp Heynckes and Professor Ancelotti adore him. Zizou has done tremendously at Real and all, but I'll go with the two lads who've won Champions Leagues at multiple clubs over multiple decades over his judgement and that of a man who relegated Newcastle.

Drico.

Nah.

We've had prospective players passports shared on this forum before mate...

Of course there's a chance information on a medical can get out. It doesn't even have to come from a medical professional, it can be after feedback has gone back to the selling club etc.

I disagree, he has a good relationship with Carlo. If it is to be true, they would be waiting on second opinions, sending scans for review etc. No point in not chatting in the meantime. If he did fail a medical, it is not Carlo's fault and likewise in sure Carlo wouldn't blame him
What would be weird is that they'd have Doucoure in tow. That medical would have been a big blow for James and even if it's feasible he might have been ok with Carlo's company, it's highly unlikely he'd have wanted another player who he's unlikely to have even heard of never mind played against.

- Problems with Real
- Gone off in a taxi to the airport
- Medical says his hips are in fact lying

What next on jarg ITK bingo?

It genuinely isn’t an exaggeration to say that we could win the league and some of our fans would do nothing but worry that we’d get a retrospective points deduction due to breaking FFP.
