Confirmed Signing James Rodriguez

Ancelotti remains keen on a deal for Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez, another player he has worked with previously in his managerial career. Discussions continue, although there is a need for Everton to trim back their squad to raise funds.

There's probably a workaround if your employee agrees to very regular and very expensive private testing.
He'll just go back to Portugal and fly from there.

Anyway, it's not as if anyone checks that you're quarantining when you arrive in the UK.
Boris is far too incompetent for that sort of thing.

James won’t be a loan literally nobody has said it besides Talksport and Tribal football.
Some of the media suggesting it’s a loan with a £5million fee and with an obligation to buy clause for £18million. Not sure how that works when he’s out of contract next summer though.

Is this loan with fee a tactical financial idea which allows us to spend more on other targets but also allows Real to shift his wages off their books?

Could be? I’m not an expert but presumably it pushes the main outlay into the next financial year?

Could you name some of these media outlets besides Talksport.

Think the Express etc but they seem to be quoting talksport. I remember reading it somewhere last night and not on talksport though. We’ll find out soon enough what the craic is anyway.
