Being linked with Matty Longstaff according to (I’m assuming the Newcastle) Chronicle. He’s a free agent. West Ham and Schalke also linked.

This feels like the kind of smart signing we should be making. A small compensation fee for a player with decent potential, already physically ready for the PL and a decent passing range. Probably not going to be elite but would do a decent job and could sell for a nice profit a couple of years down the line. Would be more useful to the squad than Delph/Davies anyway.

A sort of Tom Davies.

I’ve seen a lot of fans asking for Sarr who’s a similar player. Sarr’s probably not as consistent right now but with a much higher ceiling however if he’s £40 mill and King is £15 mill due to his contract situation then it makes good business sense to go for King and put the £25 mill saving into the....

Well good business sense is actually to do the opposite and go with the much younger Sarr...

King is currently on 2.3m a year salary, compared to Sarr's 1.3m...as King has a minimal transfer fee, he will have even bigger wage demands than his bournemouth contract...

King is 28, Sarr is 22...Sarr therefore has potential to make us a big profit in 3 years time, whereas King wouldn't...

Likely Newcastle's exact thought process when they signed Dan Gosling...

We just need to only sign players who will start in the first 11 To many fringe players that hopefully we will keep off loading . I can’t believe how much deadwood we have getting massive wages . That is the task at hand for now . So far not going to badly And hopefully we can add some quality And new belief to the side .
