2019/20 Richarlison

I suppose the main difference is those teams were good and their fans could trust them to spend the money well.

We'd spaff the Richarlison money on Lingard and the likes

Yeah we probably would but we did at least spend some of the Lukaku money on Richarlison.

Don't think we have too much to worry about really. It's not like Richarlison is Maradona or Messi standards, and there's not been a host of 'big clubs' clambering over themselves to sign him. It looks like he's doing a Lukaku and trying to stir up interest in himself with other clubs, where none exists. The best way to get the move he obviously wants, would be to up his game and play even better so the top clubs will stand up and take note.

Some have said that he's world class, well of course he's nowhere near that yet and he maybe never will be but he has shown that he's a good player but to say
"He's trying to stir up interest in himself where none exists" is just plain wrong, of course it exists, just as it does for all good players. I'm sure many clubs have already asked Spurs how much they want for Kane but it's not just not been made public.

lol 100% wrong.
When about 10 years ago Man Utd (and Berbatov,) forced our hand for over £30m, we got the magnificence of Frazier Cambell on loan to take he's place :rant:lol

seems a bit too sensitive to me. It’s 2020, since a long long time ago players will talk about possible future moves unless they are already at the top

...and he does do it on the pitch

and whilst we are an utter mess of a club, and until we have something where you can argue a decent player might want to stay, then I really am not gonna disagree with any player making bang average footballer comments to the press

id go so far to wonder why on earth would a player like him fall in love with the moaning mess of a club that we have been for some time. I mean most of the fan base is probably sick to the back teeth of this stupid club, so I really dunno why any new players would be overly arsed about us

we all just live in hope that Ancelotti can arrest that slide and give us something to get excited about and make this club attractive again, so that even if we don’t keep Richy we will be in a place to keep the next top player we manage to sign
Listen I like the lad ....a lot.
He is Top Draw and i firmly believe he has grown to love the club and the fans.
We know he is ambitious , we know he wants to win things , he's Brazils centre forward.
We know he will be off one day , to Barca or Real perhaps. Its inevitable unless he suddenly regress'es .
We have the makings of a World Class talent on our hands , but far from the finished article.
Under Ancelloti and with the players he brings in that ambition & potential will soon be reached.

But we know all this , so to there really is no need to be bigging it up on the O/S then days later talking of leaving if the right offer comes in .
Give Carlo a chance , then next season if we are in the same position then go for it all guns blazing , cos it wont be just him who is gone Carlo would be gone too.
But for now keep playing & improving everything else falls into place.
Like i said ....we know all this.

Who cares about what he said (if he did indeed say it)? He's one of the few players who actually puts a shift in almost every time he steps out on a pitch for us. I don't care if he's doing that to get a move as long as he keeps doing it.
Who can blame him about wanting to play in a team that have a chance of winning things? If that's us, great, if not it's obvious he would want to move on.
In any case, if he does agitate for a move, he's young, in form and on a long contract, we'll get a decent fee.

I dunno, he could be simply playing the game. Realised he is by far and away our best and most marketable asset and wants to push for more money

or putting the most pessimistic expect the worst slant on it, he’s asked if we are going to sign some ballers this summer and was told we are getting Zaha and Ivanovic

Similar to Lukaku’s situation for me. We can’t keep having one/two good players in the side and hope they stay.

At least with Lukaku we had the excuse of only just coming into money but then we spent so poorly anyway.

We sold Rom and in one of his last games he totally ragged Michael Keane all over the gaff. We then signed Keane for loads.

You honestly couldn’t make up stuff that Everton do.

I love Richarlson and will be proper gutted when he does leave for better, Christ, he goes to play with Brazil, Neymar etc and then comes back to Finch Farm and trains with Tom Davies etc..

you can want to play for the club, but also be open to a bigger opportunity that would be hard to turn down

I say keep him. Tie him to the lawnmowers and only unlock him on matchday

We’ve had this before mate and spend entire summers convincing players to stay, offer bumper money etc and it all ends the same. Lukaku, Stones, Barkley, Gana...

If he wants to leave and the offer meets our valuation - let him go.

He just signed a 5 year deal. Keep him this season, try to improve. If we don't improve then say he can go if the right offer comes in. He's worth at least 80m to us though.

You can understand why his head drops sometimes. No service due to No MIDFIELD and him having to track back and do their job.Proper service and he's banging in 20 a season.

Why keep him if he wants to play somewhere else?

We want players who want to play for Everton.

He’s boss, and he gives his all every game. You can’t blame him if he wants to leave.
