Mane
Salah
VVD
Allison
Firmino

All 28/29

May not have signed them at that age but all currently at their peak - history has taught us any young player good enough to reach a high peak is sold before then - Rooney, Lukaku, Stones, Barkley (to a lesser extent) and no doubt Richarlison is next.

Im personally sick of just signing players to do well only to bugger off elswhere before they reach their prime.

We need proven players in their prime now.

we will have players who will wanna play for Carlo now mate

It’s naive to think that we have the ability to go out and get proven players in their prime or that they’d just instantly gel and fix all our problems.

You’re sick of signing players that become too good for us? But you want us to somehow go out and sign a load of players who are proven and in their prime that are too good for us?

Not a sniff of silverware in 25 years and some fans still champion signing nothing but inconsistent yooth.

Do you think LFC fans care their best players are all 28/29 when they are watching their side win Champions Leagues & League Titles? Nah ah.

Get him in!
Broken record at this point but we aren't Liverpool or Chelsea or United or City or even Spurs or Arsenal and trying to copy those teams is moronic.

Very Gattuso like.

Just need to find the next Kaka and I'll stop you all saying we have plenty of Kaka in midfield

What is wrong with buyin players in their prime if we can?
The "if we can" part is almost certainly no. There might be one or two here or there and we should add them at reasonable prices but we will never build a talented enough squad to compete above the Europa League spots without a commitment to finding players that we can make better.

You mean like dont do things that lead to success?.....ok then.
Well that's not what I mean though. And honestly you can take Spurs off that list before last summer because it was only then that they went into the "try and buy players who can instantly make an impact at huge prices" strategy. Even then Lo Celso and Ndombele aren't old.

What I do mean is that we can't look at City or the RS and say "they bought a bunch of players in their prime so that is the way." There are certainly lessons to take from each side, most notably the way they committed to buying the players that fit the managers preferred system and style of play, but the actual transfer strategy was essentially to buy the best player that fit the requirements and that really isn't something we can do as the best players aren't coming here.

If we can find players better then we currently have then we can improve too.
