Considering he keeps picking siggurdsson in midfield, who’s been utter garbage. I’m not believing that for one second. A good offer and he will be gone imo

Tbf mate hes not gonna slaughter a young local lad. Even just for the fact it would lower any potential offers. Hes getting starts because our midfield is the worst in the league and full of sick notes.

he doesn’t have many options currently. If Gomes and Gbamin were fit I’m not sure Davies would get a start and that before any summer additions are bought in. If anything Carlo has been suspiciously quiet on Davies in comparison to how Silva and Koeman used to praise him. When you consider Carlo’s comments on Holgate DCL and Gomes you don’t see him saying the same type of stuff about Tom.

I like the lad in a midfield three surrounded by pacy players but we currently play a midfield two and most of the teams struggles for pace. In that environment he’s not good enough.

exactly. Davies shouldn’t be close to a squad looking at top 6. Blame Koeman and that other idiot Walsh that we’re in a position with a worse midfield than Aston Villa ffs.

Far from a legend but could press and keep the ball moving what i meant with a mccarthy with an attacking side is. That is no reason why davies cant press the same as mccarthy i would like to see davies play more attacking by releasing the ball faster and passing it forward looking which mcarthybwould just play safe

But McCarthy had a bit of pace and could read play whereas Davies looks like he’s got cement boots on and is never switched on to what’s going
