Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

Marauding down the flank, whipping crosses in and managing to get on the end of them himself. That's how good he is.
Ol' Barrel chest bundling down the wing with opposing full backs bouncing off him. Dropping inch perfect curlers on the byline. Marvellous stuff. Can't believe he's gone. Always chipping in with a crucial goal at key moments too. A tremendous talent. So much more than his exhilarating pace, sublime skill, tenacious tackling and footballing brain. He needs inducting into the Coasters hall of fame.

Needed replacing last season mind you.

LOFTHOUSE IMPRESSING MANAGER

Lee Lofthouse is a player all Fylde fans want to see succeed and he has been jumping through hoops to try to establish himself as a first team player at Fylde.

DF: Lee is a bright talent with an excellent engine. He is a natural born striker but also likes to play in midfield where he can put a shift in. I want Lee to get more games under his belt and I feel a loan move this season will be beneficial to him. There are clubs interested with FC United and Billericay keen to take him into the National League. Lee needs time to develop and we will assess where he is in six months time.

Get Lofty in the first team gaffer. He's got the x factor that you need in this league.

I don't know if Dunc can handle this sort of talent.

PRE-SEASON RESULTS 2027/28

PRE SEASON 2027.webp

DF: Pre-season has been a success and we came through largely unscathed. Chima Okoroji will miss the opening four, five fixtures with a forearm injury but he begged me to have it strapped up so he could play! I would rather he goes to a specialist and has surgery. He will be a big loss as we embark on the football league and his experience will be missed. Results were good and the new players in the team are setlling in well. I am confident ahead of our first match this weekend away to Crewe Alexandra but I feel like we are capable of holding our own in this division. The aim is to stay up, if we can stay in the football league this season it is our plan to firmly establish ourselves as a football league team and then we plan from there.
