But some scientists are saying a lockdown will never defeat the virus because a certain percentage of us need to get it before enough people are immune. So we aren't defeating it at all. Are we just prolonging the inevitable? (and yes I know the NHS overload is a factor here at least in the short term).

Just to be clear, I'm not a virologist so I don't know the answers....

And I'm in the wrong thread anyway

And I've bought 2 pairs or trainers online and one is too big and the other is too small and so I need to go a shop which is obviously far more important than a world wide health crises. OPEN THE SHOE SHOPS.

Something I've always thought was,
"I wish I was affluent enough to buy handmade footware lol."
So as well as defeating this horrible virus another big plus will be, everyone wil learn to "Never buy any kind of footware without trying them on first :p."

When was the last time you went to a game boyo?

ah the classic "when was the last time you went to a game response", tony mate, i went to a bundesliga game last weekend of course. we're in lockdown mate,
nobody has been to a game in months!

boyo, a term which went out of fashion in the 50's so you're one of those middle aged virgins.

I meant an Everton game, you know, seeing as you're big proud super blue and that.

November was my last game Tony, but i live hundreds of miles away from Liverpool and i hate football, i don't like going to matches as i think its overpriced and tge standard is pretty attrocious if I'm honest with you.

But yeah, I'm proud of my club, i don't hide, i hate the sport, but wont stop supporting the blues. What was the last game you went to tony? Seeing as you're such a small, ashamed super red and that who's too obsessed with the blues.

The Man Utd game on the 1st of March of course, like any self respecting 'proud' Blue who doesn't 'hate football' you utter fruitloop.

Ah yeah, conveniently our last game, what a predicted response. So weird how a blue would get so offensive and hostile towards a fellow blue because they said they were proud of their club.

Don’t you support Swansea?

Not any other 'Blue' though, just you.

You don't go the game, you're not from Liverpool, you hate football, you talk about the RS more than Everton and you cry like a premenstrual girl when anyone doesn't agree with you.

If I didn't know better I'd say it was YOU who was the Kopite around here, my deluded Welsh friend.

Haha ok tony, umm, yeah, remember that statement i made earlier about you being thick.

So this is your latest activity page, before i goaded you out into finally posting instead of laughing at blues, all of your activity is on RS related topics.

I hope you don't have kids tony, they'd be ashamed to know their father can't even be honest about his own football team on the Internet with strangers.

I think that heard immunity nonsense, of catching it as being a good idea has been widely ridiculed by scientists. There's no doubt there are other benefits to opening up, but it's hard to avoid the conclusion that if you are just looking at whats required to beat the virus, isolating and hiding away is the most effective tool we currently have.
