Project restart discussion.

A point clearly lost on the bbc breakfast sports gonk this morning grinning and gurning away at the prospect of racing and snooker( yes, snooker) restarting.
BBC have been thrown a bone of four live games by Sky and BT sports - probably one condition of this is to 'tow the party line' as regards the restart - the whole thing stinks of corruption and self interest.
I fully expect a licence fee reduction as the sports department (which should of been furloughed) has basically become a propaganda arm for Sky and BT ever since march.

A paper banned on here is saying Wembley for the Derby and City v the Vermin
So two of their away games at what should be difficult rivalries (I know we hardly hold our end of the bargain up on that though) are moved. Are anfield games all being moved do we know or do they still get to play their home games there?

I know there was talk of moving any that might be decisive but not seen anything more. 'Luck' would seem to be favouring them once again.

And the sports department have had the summer off.
What BBC usually cover, Wimbledon and The Olympics have been binned.
Be interested to know how much money they have saved.

How do you know exactly that ours or any other team's players haven't spoke up about it? The problem is the teams don't run the league, the league runs them and in turn the TV companies run the league. If the players straight up refuse to play then the league would be forced by Sky, BT etc to fold and in turn the teams go bust. That's the crux of it, TV and money are the power players over common decency
This is something that has been discussed a lot on here this season, the reality is TV ruined football, it hasn't actually drastically improved the quality. All we have now is average players on ridiculous amounts of money, ridiculous kick off times that ruin the atmosphere and people's enjoyment of games. Remember the ludicrous time, they decided to play our game against Chelsea on a Thursday, when people had already booked train tickets, flights and hotels with the view of the game being played on a Saturday. Abramovich had to pay for Chelsea fans travel up to GP which was nice of him to do. But TV has ruined football in other ways, we have around the same number of supporters on Merseyside as the RS, however thanks to TV clubs like United, and Liverpool have been able to appeal to fans across the world meaning they get huge amounts of revenue from tourists and sale of shirts that clubs like us simply can't compete with. Also because clubs like United and Liverpool have the largest TV audiences, it means there is an incentive to make sure these 2 teams do well.
