Computer games.

I finally managed to get vfio working on this Debian desktop, so I can play Valorant.

It's not very good. The map design is awful, it's like going into the Steam Workshop, downloading the first map you see, and building a CS competitor on it.

It's really not fun.

I'm still enjoying CSGO, after years of not playing. I've started playing with two old friends and we seem to win every game we're put in - but would give anything to play with a couple guys from the ED ladder days.

I got back in to Kingdom Come: Deliverance yesterday after a couple of months away. It didn't run too well on the PS4 Slim but it's noticeably better on the Pro.

It's one of the funniest game I've ever played and some of the dialogue had me laughing out loud. It's a bit too heavy on the cut scenes for me but I can live with that as it makes up for it in other areas. It's just one of those games where you need to dedicate a lot of time to to get in to it. The combat is quite complicated but once you get your head around it it's hugely rewarding.

I just remember doing a pretty lame mission about 10 hours in and thinking "this isn't fun". Didn't play it again. Lots of people like it though.
I’ve seen a few people say similar. It’s not my sort of game but I figured if it’s so good then I might like it anyway. I’ll probably go for The Witcher 3 instead, which also isn’t my normal game but it’s so highly rated.

Anyone played Horizon Zero Dawn?

I'm not usually in to sci fi/fantasy games but I'm looking for another open world type game and the graphics on this in particular look brilliant.

I like it, but then it's the first PS4 game I've ever played. It is a story first and foremost with tasks, quests and barneys thrown in. You wander around a large geographical area revisiting many places several times. The same thing tends to happen each time you get to some of these places but not always and the story may require you to get somewhere before it can proceed. There are lots of side lines to follow (sometimes it seems everyone has a problem that only you can be bothered to solve). You can up the difficulty level for the fighting as well but I play on 'normal'. I can understand why it may not appeal to everyone. It came in the PS4 bundle I bought recently and it has kept me happy for quite some time now...
