Merkel apparently ready to give the green light to Germany's restart.

Tbf to them the availability of repeat testing, and on a mass scale to pretty much everyone, is absolutely light years ahead of here, it's nowhere near like for like, and their outbreak was/is miniscule compared to here.

The Cologne players who tested positive were all asymptomatic and the rest of the squad would be retested twice a week.

Even so it's not without risk but the financial imperative to restart for the Bundesliga whose clubs, in general, aren't as rich as the prem, is immense.

Starts next weekend.

Which will make the premier league move quickly to get a date in stone for when they restart.

Too much money involved, safety concerns will be swept under the carpet and players will be hard balled into playing.

John the decorator is called in to the office his boss. "John for the integrity of our decoratoring business, we need to finish the decorating job at number 1892."

John's boss is a bit of an egotistical idiot and simply wants to be able to tick off the job at number of 1892 because then his sales will look better - 19 jobs done!

John reads the remit and the back bedroom needs to be painted red according to his boss, but this is a major problem for John for a number of reasons.

First, the back bedroom can't be painted because the boy, whose room it is, is quite sick, so John decides to paint the other bedroom. "I've got to finish the job!"

He looks in his van and sadly he hasn't got any red paint either, so he decides to use some green paint. "I've got to finish the job! This will do! " he tells himself.

Unfortunately, John then runs out of green paint before he's finished the wall, so John decides that instead of four walls being painted he'd only do three.

"For the integrity of the job, I'll just say three walls is good enough" he says. John has lots of other houses to do, but nothing is as important as number 1892.

He and his colleagues have a job down in Brighton, amongst other places, but they're not really as important as completing the first job at whatever the cost.

John walks back into the office with a smile on his face. "Done boss! I finished number 1892 like you said." He'd done whatever that had to be done to finish it.

The boss glances at the tick-list. Painted red? No. Back bedroom painted? No. All four walls? No. All the other jobs done? No "Hey ho, I can tick 1892 off the list!"

Bravo!

It also needs a pause button so you can go and get a pint just before half time and turn it off 10 minutes before the end so you can leave early to beat the traffic.
They either want it to br realistic or they dont!

I went to Old Trafford with my brother once and i was staggered at the amount of people doing that. If you're missing the first 5 mins and the last 10 mins of each half and your entire goal was to beat the traffic then why bother going?

Also who's wearing a suit to the match?!

Gonna make my bathroom stink of fags and pretend I’m queuing up for 15 minutes to get in there to give me that authentic Goodison experience.

We take it in turns to head down five to ten minutes before half-time otherwise there's no chance we'd have a pint and a piss and get back for the seond half.

There seems to be some efforts to compare us to Germany. It's completely unrealistic. If we had Germany's death numbers, and testing numbers there's a discussion to be had. As it is over 600 people died yesterday. I don't think Germany has had a single day where 600+ people have died.

Edit, Germany's highest single day death toll is 266.

That is exactly why our country needs more of a morale boost then.

(I have applied Kopite logic here.)
