But if social distancing is still in force like they suggest, which could be another six months, how can anyone play football and keep a 2 metre distance, unless it's obviously Michael Keane defending and he cant get anywhere near the player anyway

There will probably be a period of time where social distance will be lifted, smaller gatherings are fine but large stadiums are still not permitted, I suspect this is the window they are hoping for. There is no way they will ignore social distancing advice or the PFA etc will go for it.

you basically want it to tho desperately. Kopites are ..........

Still can’t understand the logic in thinking that resuming the season is a pro-Liverpool decision. It’s not. There are literally dozens of teams up and down the leagues that would feel unfairly done by with a voided season.

60+ teams have already kicked up a fuss about the conference / national league season being voided. You’d have to expect a bigger and stronger reaction the further up the leagues you go, hence the desperation to complete from all parties.

Voiding only suits a small minority of clubs. Those clubs are conflating the argument with the whole “how could you put Football before lives” nonsense argument and I don’t think that’s ever going to be an issue.

Whatever the outcome, Football won’t be played again unless it’s declared safe to do by the government.

Not as worried as most on here until the "void season & expunge all results" is announced, by the thousands of posts thus far...

Truth is, nobody knows what's going to happen and there are far bigger things than football right now. I don't know why you're surprised or concerned at the take of a few Everton fans on a forum as we idly pass the time, maybe try a Liverpool forum for a more optimistic outlook?

If Clubs won't cut players wages, I highly doubt that they'll let them play in the CoronaBowl in June with thousands of players, staff, officials, media and hotel staff.

The idea is just honestly never going to get off the ground.

Pompey would miss out potentially.
They have a good chance of play off and a full house at Wembley due for that EFL cup thing.
The did announce a £2m profit though yesterday after years of utter mismanagement which was nice to see.
South TV legend Fred Dinage (who's self isolating) was on the board until recently and his daughter is currently the sports minister I believe and she could well have a say in how some of this ends.

no voiding suits people’s lives mate.

no voiding suits people’s lives mate.

How’s that mate?

Wheather the outcome is voiding or resuming, either has the same impact on people’s health - zero.

They’ll resume the current season when it’s safe to do so OR they’ll void and resume the next season when it’s safe to do so.

Either way, we’ll only get back to playing Football when it’s safe to do so.

why Matty ?? I really don't get this point, the reality is that Football will not return until it is safe to do so, there is no way there will be a behind closed doors tournament in the middle of a Pandemic & football will hopefully start again when it is safe to do so.

With this in mind, why does voiding suit better than finishing it up??
