Player Valuation: £40m
I was always a big fan of Stuart McCall. I don't think I've seen a more skilful player than Preki either. Robert Warzycha livened up our play with his pace. Tony Cottee isn't considered an Everton great, but he bagged 72 goals in 184 games. Andy Hinchcliffe did great as well.

Lee Carsley is the ultimate for me, God we didn't realise how much we would missed him till he left

Sandy Brown, played in every position for the blues including goalkeeper, scored the greatest own goal ( in the derby :( ) in the history of football.......he could also feature in the list of worst players....he was that good/bad

Underrated by the media or by the fans ???
In general any player who puts the royal blue on and puts a decent shift, shows passion and commitment is always appreiciated by 99% of blues supporters those above included...

Andy Hinchcliffe was a hero growing up for me, not sure why really, his dead ball delivery was ace and could show Arteta a thing or two right now! He did get recognised for England though, so not sure how underrated he was.

He only got 7 England caps. I agree about his delivery. Every time we had a corner we looked like scoring.

I would defo say Carsley, but if we all say that, does that mean he wasn't as underrated as we thought?

Marcus Bent put in a shift too.....still don't think he could do more than 10 keepy uppy's though...

Baines has got to be up there. Top 3 left backs in the league for me, definitely, not given the credit he deserves.

Going back, i thought Gravesen was better than most thought during his time here, never surprised me to see Madrid come in for him.

Steve Watson and Stubbsy were solid defenders too !

When Gravesen was on form the opposition couldn't get the ball away. It just kept coming back at them.

Leon Osman has to be up there in my eyes, when he plays it gives Everton another dimension. With Osman you cant actually play long-ball football, I would like to see him play a bit more to be honest.

Lee Carsley has been mentioned allready, so im going out with Marcus Bent. His movement off the ball gave Tim Cahill and Thomas Gravesen alot of room in the champions league qualifying season of 2004/05.

Nigel Martyn was also a beast of a goalkeeper for us, that save against Mellor springs to mind.

Didn't realise he even got that many caps! Back then they weren't handed out quite as easily as they now though, and was fighting for a spot with Neville/Beckham depending how he was seen.

Joe Parkinson anyone?
