You’re absolutely right, the laws of the game do not change mid-competition. The competition and schedule, however, changes all the time.

Also, there is no precedent set for what’s happening right now, it’s never had to happen before so there are no rules set for what should occur from here on.

Let’s change the rules now so that any win for Everton is worth 20 points, and that win lose or draw, the RS get a points deduction of 3 points. If mid season rule changes are a thing, let’s do something that can at least let us win.

Also, Football brings billions into the UK economy, responsible for hundreds of thousands of jobs and, ultimately, this is an Everton Football club forum.

It’s a relevant discussion because when we come out on the other side of this, those jobs and those billions need to be preserved as best as possible so that we can return to normality as swiftly as we can.

The grim and unfortunate reality is that people die every day and that’s really sad, but life must go on. If we’re all to pause and wallow right now, the world as we know it would cease to operate and never return.

Give them the title an Void it who cares. This thing is bad an all us doing are best to stay safe An healthy is more important than football. I can’t even see my mum today she has to stay in for 12 weeks because she has heart failure.

The thing is tho we shouldn’t continue the season once it gets past a certain date. We can’t be playing the 19/20 season in like 2022 can we.

So either we play if it’s safe to do so or void it an concentrate on the new season. At a certain point playing all the 38 games next season has to be seen more important than finishing the 9 this season.

Personally I hope it gets to a point where we can finish this season because that would mean we are beating this pandemic.

To be fair I like Davek he makes some good points. Keiran on the other hand just accuses blues of been racists an what not.

Wow. I actually haven’t, but having said that, there’s not a chance on planet earth that Dave would argue so passionately in favour of anything that would benefit Big Red, even as a wind up.
