No, it’s a very simple question and you’ve been either unable or unwilling to answer. I’m genuinely trying to understand your point of view.

What problems would you see in delaying the transfer window to align with the delayed playing season?
It wouldn’t be me who had a problem. It would be however for a player out of contract on the 30th June who can’t sign for his new club as the window has been moved.

Sinking in yet ?

So, again just to be clear, you haven’t got a problem with it, you’re just concerned about those players who will be unable to play for a period of time? Have I understood you right?

After all, he can sign for them. If he and his current club choose not to sign an extension to the end of the current season

He absolutely can sign for a new club and train with a new club and join his new teammates, he just can’t play for them until the registration period opens.

You're like Davek if you stripped him of all his wit, charm, friends, knowledge and humour and were left with just his ability to keep tedious arguments going indefinitely

If this season ends in December/January when do we start next season??

Who knows?! As Rooney said on Twitter it could be a perfect opportunity for the authorities to reshuffle the Football calendar ahead of the Qatar 2022 World Cup which is being held in November / December for safety reasons.

So, for arguments sake, let’s assume your suggestion is accurate and the current season finishes in December, then the new 2021 season could be started in March after the usual 2 month break (though after all this, I’m sure the players will be reasonably well rested).

If that was the case, then that season would end in circa November / December 2021. Assuming that same schedule ran in 2022, it would mean that the domestic season would finish in November 2022 and the World Cup in Qatar would commence therafter - rather than being some mid-season spectacle.

Again, it’s all ifs buts and maybes right now while the world is trying to catch up on everything, nobody has any clear answers.

I give up

who are we to argue with such deep thinkers as Wayne Rooney.

Problem solved lids. RSFC champions of the 2019/20/21/22 season.

In debate, it’s always best to critique the argument, rather than the arguer. Best idea wins, doesn’t matter who makes it.

I have a great reason why the season shouldn't extend beyond 30th June, IT ISNT IN THE RULES OF THE COMPETITION TO DO SO.

One-man kick offs and female officials weren’t in the rules either, mate. The offside rule and the backpass law has changed too. Times change, roll with them.
