Cancelling this season's Premier League

Should football be canceled until August and this season declared null and void?

Yeah but it's only because he's concerned about the future of club's lowed down the pyramid...

Not too bothered about all their loan players’ contracts expiring on June 30th though is he, apparently they’ll just suck it up and take it.

It's a good job Shrewsbury got that massive windfall when the played Liverpool in the cup.
If Klopp had played a load of kids no one would have paid the full ticket price and TV may have even swerved showing the game too.

Or, they might (just might) extend the loan.

You reckon we’re in a rush to call back Gibson, Garbutt, Connolly, Pennington, Feeney and Dowell or do you reckon we’d be happy to let them stay there for the last handful of games, where they’ve been all season?

Seen speculation last night that should the Prem return, they'd want to be able to conduct transfers during those last few games.

Would like to see what UEFA have to say about that.

You keep repeating this point as if whether you deem any of these 70 players as first team regulars or not has any relevance to the situation. It doesn't.

Players are going to be out of contract and just because one player in Willian has said he's fine to continue playing on past it doesn't mean the others are.

These posts reek of desperation.

That’s the dead giveaway for me. No fan of any other club in the country is this desperate to finish the season.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt for ages and just assumed he was a tedious contrarian bore, but this whole episode has scratched benead the surface. I’m very much looking forward to the meltdown.

The fact that they will no longer have a valid contract obviously.

Does the recent announcement, from arguably the most high profile player that this applies to, stating they’d be happy to play past that date, change your opinion at all in terms of what is likely to happen?

I’m not desperate to finish the season. I simply said it was the fairest and most likely outcome of all this. And it still is.

True that.

I haven't talked footy with anyone for ages now.
Even when I phone me dad we don't talk about Everton, which is genuinely all we ever talk about.
All the chat is about this crisis.

The busiest threads on the site have literally been related to the prospect of voiding the league. All conversations are essentially the same. When will we get back to normal? That’s not necessarily a conversation about Football.

At work, we’re talking about what the industry and the business will look like in 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months as a result of this. That’s not insensitive, nor is it desperate and this is no different. Football is what we care about and it’s a Football forum.
